Of course Levant and his crew have the right to protest (just as the pro-Palestine side), but I can't help but think there's some serious Islamophobia and anti-arabism going on with some of his rhetoric.

Can't blame him really. With all the stuff going on with ISIS, and the slave labour stories popping up all over Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia - people are going to be easily swayed.

Just curious, why the question mark at the end? Are you unsure of this, is it an assumption, or are you asking the board the question?
Also, fwiw the link works fine for me.

I'm asking a question, I remember this being talked about before but don't know if it's true or not.
Hmm maybe the article just doesn't work on my phone, or through tapatalk, what's the article name so I can search it?

Gotcha. I don't know if what you said happens or not. The article notes that electricity lines from Israel have been damaged during the war. But there is no explanation as to why or how.
if you google "Israel intensifies Gaza assault, Egyptians revise truce plan" the article comes up.

New York Times article talks about how it's so devastating cause 8 of 10 power lines into Gaza from Israel have already been damaged. Makes sense, cause I remember it not being an issue last year when that plant stood idle as Hamas refused fuel for it from Israel, and Gaza still had power then.
Plunging the whole region into no power, sewage or water is absolutely horrible though, hopefully those lines can be repaired quickly because you know the plant will take a while to become operational again.

I never realized this before (never really paid attention) but the Gaza Strip is only ~360 sqkm which is about half the size of Calgary.

Like I said before, it's amazing how Israel's actions are justified because it's a war, but the Palestinians are evil for launching small rockets even though they're under occupation and see their land being illegally settled.

M302 and Fadjr-5, WS-1E and even the Grad and Qassam-3's are not small rockets. They have warheads that range from 15kg up to 150 kg of high explosions.
Palestine rockets are not party poppers, They are full on battlefield quality un guided artillary rockets. This is the upteen time that people have tried to say that Palestine rockets are these dinky home made rockets so its ok. These are Chinese and Iranian made battlefield weapons smuggled into Palestine.
At least get some facts straight.

You know very well threat the vast majority of these rockets are of poor quality. They only have a handful of the better quality ones.

"The Israeli Defence Force estimates that Hamas has a total arsenal of about 10,000 rockets in Gaza, although the majority are of limited range and quality."

They are squirt guns compared to Israeli ordinance. It's not even close to being close.

I think the point isn't that the rockets aren't destructive and designed to accomplish what they are used for, but that as a technology they pale in comparison to laser guided bombs dropped from some of the most technologically advanced weapons systems in the world.
The rockets are indiscriminate by nature. The laser guided bombs seem to be indiscriminate by implementation.
It's like the maxim gun vs. a Zulu spear.

This is what I don't understand - what are they playing at then? Why are they even trying to counter this? Lobby the world on a platform of peace instead of trying to match brawn with a larger opponent. It's a ridiculous plan.

I dunno, rage against the dying of the light?
Once more unto the breach, dear friends?
Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God?
When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty?
