Worst late model vehicles on the road

For me, every time I see a mazda 2 I just think of those terrible van/car type vehicles from Gran Turismo back in the day, remember those?

I really like my Mazda2... but I'm a sucker for tiny hatchbacks.

But in the spirit of this thread, the Nissan Juke. Every time I see one I just assume the owner has absolutely zero design taste, and they only choose it because they think it's "unique and edgy".

Ford Escape

The new Escape is a hell of a vehicle. Aesthetically I think it is the nicest small SUV on the road.

The new Escape looks okay but I prefer the older style. The new one looks like it was designed by a woman.

I don't get the love affair with steeply raked windshields and smaller windows. Then there's the wider dashes that collect more heat in the summer time.

Steeply raked windshields equals lower drag coefficient and therefore better fuel economy. And a deeper dash, is a byproduct of that design.

They had a very popular design and then went all European with the new Escapes. I won't be replacing my Escape with one of those new ones

Do you know how good of deal you can get on a PT Cruiser. You can get them with 100k on them for 3 grand or less. You compare that with the Honda or Toyota that you pay 6k for.

They did, I'd say the windshield rake on the Tiguan is a lot close to the new Escape, than the old one. The A-Pillar on the new Escape looks a little Awkward because the hood is so low.

Besides the obvious eye vomit, the frikkin front and rear door handles don't even line up. It is hard to believe Italy produced this monstrosity.

Oh god, THIS! I've been shopping around for a manual car, and it seems like everyone is phasing it out. And apparently it's a North American thing, as North Americans don't like to drive stick. I fear in a few more years, there's not going to be any more manuals on the road, which really sucks.

At this point, I don't even care if the auto is more fuel efficient or faster. It just takes the fun away from the driving experience to have to drive auto.

I love the Fiat 500. Drove one around the winding roads of Tuscany (Italy, not NW Calgary) and loved the, diminutive size, sharp handling and go kart feel of the thing.

This thing has none of that charm. It pretty much only shares a name. It also looks like a shiny potato IMHO.

i'm sure i'll take lots of flack for this, but i just don't like the look of porsches... and it's not just a particular model, i don't like the look of any of them - never have. i don't know why, i just don't like them, i think they are ugly.

my only guess as to why i think this way is becuz as a teenager i LOVED lamborghini's and their rigid angles/style, which porsches are not

for those wanting to come over, i've got the vat of tar all fired up and bags of feathers waiting
