Ferland. I like his physical game and think he has the best potential out of the 3 to become an NHLer.

I voted Ferland, but I'm surprised it's Kulak who's fallen behind and not Knight. Out of the 3 he probably has the highest ceiling.

I think Ferland is overated, he was only decent as an overager in the WHL and was a minus player on a good team in Abby, Knight had strong numbers at the college level and was great in Abby and Kulak is two years younger.

I think if Ferland is the player he was for his last 13 games of the season, he could be a Lucic. 18 points in 13 games, big goals, big body. It was crazy to see him start to put it all together.
Knight plays with excellent vision. He's defesively responsible, he passes well, and he can shoot. He's going to wind up a defensive specialist however, unless he can add a little more dazzle to his game.
Kulak could be anything at this point. But he stepped off his junior squad and walked onto a pro squad and never looked out of place. He has as high a ceiling as Ferland, and about as far to climb to get there.
Things will be very different by this time next year, but if I take the temperature now, that's what I get.

Love Kulak. Mobile, smart, decent size, nice first pass and a big slap shot. Surprised he's not getting more votes.

Whoops. I must've put up the wrong one. It was from the Marlies game the night before I think.
So much for raising Knight's profile haha

I'd hate to suggest ANOTHER run-off poll... but we've gotten our usual 300 votes... and Ferland/Knight are separated by 2.
Would another run-off with Ferland and Knight as the only options give us a clear winner?

Nah, I think calling it a tie between the two with Kulak coming up behind them would be a good enough result.

Like Ortio and Gillies, it'd be just safe to call it a tie at 14 and just move on to Rd 16.

I wonder, though, how many of the Ferland supporters would break for Knight next (or vice-versa) vs. someone like Kulak? I would rather see the run-off decide the winner of round 14, and then the remaining contenders drop back into the pool for round 15 voting.
We are using the run-off to see where the "other voters" sit based on a head-to-head contest, but to declare the second-place finisher in a head-to-head match-up as the winner of the next run makes some assumptions about where the supporters of the head-to-head winner would (or would not) vote next.
Perhaps the votes would break for the second-place finisher next anyway, but that isn't guaranteed, IMO. For example, there were probably more than a few Gillies or Ortio supporters who wouldn't have voted for a goalie in back-to-back rounds.
I say put it to vote!

Good call. Now watch people vote for Knight to bump him up instead....The Goalie runoff is crazy close too.

I'm going to call the two a tie, and then send Kulak into the next round to fend for himself.
