Offensively? nobody IMO unless the Sabres let Reinhart come, but Hockey Canada seems to prefer returning players over new players in key positions for the WJC roster.

For example Lazar is more physically developed and way better at faceoffs than Bennett.

Will have to see what the coaches do, but just looking at the Ivan Hlinka roster, Bennett should have been the top center, yet played LW for that tournament.

What are the chances of Klimchuk being on the World Junior team? He will most likely have a great season but so will many other Canadians. 50/50?

Hockey Canada seems to favour players that were on the U18 team (which Klimchuk was) If he has a solid start to the year he will have a good shot to make the team, imo.

Last two times he played for Canada he made the team as the 1st line LW (2013 IIHF U18s, 2013 Ivan Hlinka).

Canada usually always has an overwhelming C depth that pushes guys to the wings.
IIRC the 2013 Under 18 team's first line was Klimchuk on LW, McDavid at centre and Sam Reinhart at RW. So they moved Sam to RW to strengthen the first line.
