The Official 14/15 UEFA Champion's League and International Club News Thread
And runner up for longest thread title...
Champion's League is getting geared up and now we have a place to put news and discussion from other leagues that dont have their own threads.

Feyenoord-Besiktas should be an interesting tie in the league route next round. Celtic are the only big club of interest to me in the champions route and they have a tough tie against Legia who survived a first leg scare against St. Pat's Athletic in Ireland.

Until further notice Israeli teams cannot play in Israel and Russian and Ukranian teams will be kept apart for security reasons.
Also, glad to see that, this year, yellow cards are nullified after the quarter finals.
Same, Celtic are the only ones that interest me at this stage. Their Glasgae brethern Rangers had a convincing 1-0 win over Ottawa Fury last night.

If people arent aware, several players have refused to report back to their Ukrainian teams after the World Cup and the subsequent airliner attack due to safety concerns.
I'll see if I can dig up the news reports.

I'll be in Spain when Group Stage matchday 1 is playing ... so I'm hoping the stars align and I can find my way to a game in either Madrid or Barcelona. It's god damned annoying that I have to wait until the 28th of August to find out. La Liga fixtures were a similar pain in the ass.

Lets go BVB.
I thought my dedication was going to drop after Lewa left but I guess they're still my team! Although the moment they're out it's Bayern all the way.

Would it be to contentious to say, countries at war should have their FIFA rights suspended until peacetime?

Former Scotland powerhouse, mourinho's a win over a Canadian firehouse club, in a school yard special.

Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooly crap, Casillas is leaving Madrid.
Apparently he's already agreed to terms with Arsenal, and now a fee is being negotiated.

Basically that's how Denmark won the 92 Euros. Strange times, Yugoslavia kicked out and couldn't play as a united team for the tournament whilst the breaking up USSR played as CIS.

I like how Lampard hasnt played a single MLS game yet and they're already speculating about him playing in Melbourne.

Melbourne City FC is owned by Man City who also part-own New York City FC. It makes sense for him to make a similar guest appearance to David Villa's as NYCFC won't be playing an MLS game for a while.
