I'm sure they were saying on the Fan a couple of weeks ago that they had already made their choice.

Not sure what Kirch is waiting for.

my guess people are on vacation and they probably want to make it into a press conference type announcement.

I know I'm not playing this super-fun totally non-redundant game right, but I heard rumblings a couple seasons back that Brad Curle was heir apparent to King Peter's throne. I have also had discussions with other hockey knowledgables about the candidacy of Cam Moon, but I understand he really likes his role and being in Red Deer.

No thanks.

I would rather have Kerr and that's saying something.

Cam Moon is interesting. I thought of him immediately when I heard that Peter was retiring.

Perfect.
They just need to lower their standards a bit more - and I can swoop in at the last minute and score the job.
Hooray for lowering the bar!

Whoever it is, they'll be public enemy #1 on here by mid November. Interested to see whether it will be a young guy or someone with more experience.

Are we talking radio or TV?

SN has a lot of searching/hiring to do if they haven't picked their guys yet.

Edit: Also I love Loubardias, he's fantastic. So what if he talks a lot about his time watching such and such players in junior? At least he WATCHES these kids and knows what he's talking about. There's actually knowledge there, and you can often learn things about kids coming up cause he's spent time sitting down and talking to a lot of them. Some of these media guys haven't got a clue about most prospects, unless they were high first rounders or top prospects in a team's system. I really want him to be the TV colour guy. Not as interesting when he has to focus on PBP, I'll at least say that much.

Please no. It's nauseating listening to him do Rebels broadcasts. Just feels off for a hockey play-by-play guy.

From what I understand this hire was done a couple weeks ago, but no announcement until current commitments are completed.

I do not really need to know the players entire junior career stats if he plays in the NHL. If you want to state where he came from and what round he was chosen in (the odd time) that is fine. I do not really need to know that the announcer watched all 4 of this player's years in the Soo. And that he has spent a lot of time with him. It is tooting his own horn when he states "look... I have known this kid since he was 7." Who cares...it is useless information to me and I find it annoying.

Rod Pedersen would be good. He's the Riders and Pats color guy. Knows more about hockey than most
