I think former Winnipeg RB Will Ford is available. The guy can return punts and kickoffs as well.
Will Ford signed with Sask when they released Hugh Charles.

We have Martell Mallet on the practice roster but maybe we could sign Hugh Charles as insurance.

Really?? I must have missed it. I heard Hugh Charles was released by Priders because he had a bad game... fumble and so on.

Didn't the Priders signed Jerome Messam also recently?

Crappy news. And Kyries Hebert gets nothing, what a joke.
Hebert got tossed and a fine. That's not "nothing". BUT, I have changed my mind about this. He should have gotten a 1, maybe 2 game suspension based on some of the hits that have been suspended over the past couple seasons. Some of those suspensions were head scratchers, Hebert at least punished the guy... So I now lean to the should have been suspended side of things...

Hopefully Cornish will be ok. He is the best RB in the league and it would be a shame to lose him.

For Ozsome - The Riders have been loading up on RBs hoping that one of them will be a positive difference maker for them.

Jon's got to do the best for Jon and that means taking every precaution. So sad that what is essentially assault with intent to injure goes unsuspended by the league. Just goes to show why the CFL will always be considered a bush league sport. I hope Bruce can bleed the league for millions as you can't put a price on people's lives and the CFL simply isn't taking player safety seriously.

Throwing a flag every time a QB gets touched after throwing the ball doesn't accomplish anything if players are allowed to run around and attempt to decapitate players without fear of being suspended.

And the CFLPA is to blame here too for historically fighting every fine and suspension.
The role of the PA should be to protect stars like Cornish, not goons like Hebert.

Totally agree. Look at what happenned in the past suspensions. Ed Hervey and even Khalif Mitchell. They got suspended but the CFLPA fought it and league changed the suspensions.

I don't think so. Stampeders are way too classy than that.

I agree -- not suggesting it'll be a cheap shot, but don't think for a second he won't have a target on him. If someone has a chance to lay the wood (think an o-lineman), watch out...

Sounds like Hufnagel didn't shake Chris Jones' hand last night, and some Stamps took a pic after the game posing besides Jones' crotch rocket.

Good for Hufnagel. This guy deserted the team to run off and join Barker in Toronto like a coward while under contract with Calgary. No notice, no call from Toronto. Bush league. He gets any and everything the Stampeders organization has lined up for him especially now up in Edmonton.

Makes for a good rivalry. I love it.

It wasn't Huff that didn't shake hands with Jones. I saw Huff walking to midfield shaking players hands and heading towards the Edmonton side and there was dbag Jones shaking his head and running to the locker room.

Doesn't surprise me. Coward.

Oh, and here's the pic with Jones' motorbike.

Also, this gem (and, yeah, stating of obvious) from Charleston Hughes on downtown Edmonton (via unimpressed Stamps beat writer and former Edmontonian Vicki Hall): "Just stated the obvious. It kinds of looks similar to Detroit where everything looks like it needs to be rinsed off.”

Yeah I was surprised to see that d-bag Jones run of the field while the classy stamps went to shake the hands of the losers across the field.

It wasn't a classy move by Jones, but I personally think the post game handshake between coaches is overrated.

It doesn't happen in baseball or hockey, and when it does happen in football it is usually apathetic and/or superficial.

It gives something for the media and fans to talk about, but Huf isn't losing any sleep over it.
