The preview shows that someone has to eat some raw snake organ or drink snake blood in Hong Kong. The gay couple probably would't be up for it. The two female hockey Olympians should be the favorites at this point as they are both strong and smart.
I'm surprised by how well the two East Indian brother and sister had done so far and I'll be rooting for them too.

Looks the same for this version. They mentioned a 2 hour penalty when they quit the surfing challenge which I believe Jon called a "Route Marker" so the chair roadblock must have been the other 4 hours.
I'll add my voice to those who can't believe he took apart a perfectly good chair and then took a four hour penalty instead of building another one. They won't last long.

im cheering for the Olympians. I remember seeing photos of Mikkelson and she was one of the most ripped athletes (non body builder) that I have ever seen. Plus playing big minutes in a gold medal game with a broken bone - love that compete level.
Butchers look to go far.
Mother Son team seem to be all business. I can see them going deep. Impressed by the mom and the surfing.
That montreal team that came 2nd both legs. Contenders as well.

I've watched Mikk train and she is intense. Nat Spooner is no slouch either. I'm glad they're doing so well!

I just don't see why he wouldn't give it a try before quitting. The worst the judge can do is say no and then you are free to quit, but at least you gave it a try.

Because he is one of the two biggest cry babies to ever take part in the race.

the gay team was awful, it's a pain to watch them actually, quitting every challenge last episode.
the shoulder "pop" was awful, was disappointed to see the couple go....would have preferred to see them stay instead of the gays that gave up.
anyway i would actually liked for them to play more in the different parts of Canada. The part on Calgary was just too short

It was so rushed and it felt like they didn't spend any time introducing the participants.

I'm not a fan of the decision of the hockey girls to use the Express Pass on what looked like a pretty easy road block. It helped them win the leg, but could hurt them down the road if they really need it, especially since you know they'll likely be targeted if there's a U-Turn ahead.
With next week being in Macau, which is pretty close to Hong Kong, there shouldn't be a big bunch-up with all teams ending up on the same flight somewhere like there was this week.

Solid episode. Cool to see the race going into another country.
Hockey girls had a slight crack in their armour, still won the leg. Good on em.
The snake part went FAR better than expected. I full expected at least one person to blow after eating that.
I'm really likin this season.

The preview for next week looks like they have a blow out trying to do a dance routine. (Which is why I think they used their express pass - coordinated routine may not be their thing) but then again, it shows everyone else having some sort of freak out as well.
I hope there aren't too many more legs where there is only the one option for travel, leveling the playing field. Sure it makes it more of a race, but the gay guys should've been out for their efforts in Tofino. (Although they certainly made up for it with their research (the call) into the task in HK).

I think Hockey girsl should at least have given the detour a try. If the tasks were tough, use the express pass. The express pass should be used to save you from elimination and not to win a leg. Winning a leg only nets you two flight tickets but the bigger goal should be to stay in the race long enough to win it all.

If memory serves, boats leave every 15-30 minutes. There is typically a long line for passport purposes though...not sure if that'll influence things.

Cormack and his Mom are a odd mother son duo. His mom making him hold her hand when crossing the street was priceless.

I find this season to be uninteresting. I find the contestants to be pretty boring. The host's accent also kills me. He sounds like Terrance and Phillip from South Park.
I liked last season, and I like USA's amazing race, but I just can't get into this one.

What made the first one really interesting was it was across Canada.
So very much to see/do that's different across our nation.
First had great personalities too - season 2 doesn't.
Disappointed

From what I've seen, they were using it to avoid the Double U-Turn which was coming up (and subsequently went unaired).

Tonight, Suki and Jinder went past the Almond Cake clue post like 3 times before they found it. I can't believe it.
