We are not headed for a nuclear war.
This is a terrible tragedy, but the loss of 300 people, isn't going to start WW3.
An Obama was incredibly composed and as a matter of fact in his presser today. I think you are a little paranoid.

Think nuclear war!

You guys are all blind to the truth out there in safe, white Calgary. Living out here in Toronto is an absolute multiculturalism mess. Everyone is isolated in their own culture's ghettos. I go walking through the city and cannot even recognize my own country with all the foreign languages being spoken instead of English. All the individual culture's restaurants and grocery stores instead of Boston Pizza or Montana's. It makes me sick!
I feel like I am a foreigner in my own country. I fear that we hit a point of no return because the foreigners are spreading filthy lies like how Toronto is about 50% foreign-born, yet has the lowest crime rate in the country: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/...?from=13416456
Clearly the data was faked and disseminated by the impure non-white foreigners that have taken us over. For god's sake, there is a brown muslim in the mayor's office!

Do you wanna live in a country where every block doesn't have a restaurant where the waitress is able to write her name upside down in crayon on the brown paper that serves as a tablecloth?
I know I don't

To think I just left the Palestinian Protests thread to get away from that kind of crap. Guess it's off to the FOI forum.

My people are supposed to be good at sarcasm, but I rarely do it correctly.
...and sorry for derailing the thread, but I only posted that crime statistic graphic to warn people away from Edmonton, where the crime rate is apparently 57% higher than Calgary's.

Not sure if noted, but Obama has now said they feel the rocket was fired by pro Russian separtists that are Kremlin backed.
I suppose the evidence is pretty clear. I still think Putin will have an alternate completely implausable counter story that no one believes. He will come away unscathed regardless.

Isn't putin's position that it was an assassination attempt on his life?

No. Putin's position is to hold a throughout investigation, or at least that's what he's saying.
Meanwhile, Russian media are comparing Boeing's crash with the sinking of USS Maine. Whatever is the truth about the Boeing, the Maine example is helpful to cool down and not let such events to draw people into wars.

Not a great example considering the The Spanish/American War started right after the Maine sinking!

That's true. All the cell phone videos, Facebook posts, recorded phone calls from separatists forces talking about the error and radar data really was leaning one way in that USS Maine event too. Good thing everyone was patient.

This is exactly what russians are getting at. US media blamed Spain for the incident, even though Spain most likely they had nothing to do with it — a conclusion, that seems to be confirmed by later investigations of US experts. Nonetheless, following the mass propaganda, US started the spanish-american war. Russians are not quite saying that US are building up for the war, but they are sorta hinting at it and making it clear that US has a history of lying about such things (which is true about any country in the world, including both USA and Russia).

To be fair, even if it was shot down by the separatists, the degree of Russia's involvement has yet to be determined, and it might very well be 0. They could steal or bribe BUK from ukrainians and separatists do have war veterans who may know how to use it without Russia's help.

Surely you can't deny that those groups, if not being directly supported, are most definitely emboldened by implications of Russian support at the absolute minimum?
Those idiots wouldn't even be out there fighting if they weren't getting support from your cartoon president.

I get that but the big difference is America is a by-stander here, if Russian rebels shot down a Delta 777 it might be different. It's Russia bringing up the USA in this conflict when it should be the euro nations.
