I do as much as I can on my phone and do more at night, at home.

If you don't care about the job, and you want to quit, who cares if he finds out you're looking up other jobs on the Internet?

What's the worst that could possibly happen? You'd get fired from the job you're a step away from quitting because you were looking for a better job?

Seems chill to me.

Money. If I don't have something else lined up, it's not going to be good. Have to go from here right to making another pay cheque. Can't have a lapse in between. It's a crappy situation, but it's the truth.

Every suggestion made to you is followed by an excuse. Take charge and cut out the excuses.

Yep, you're right. Time to stop making excuses and start to do something about it. Off today and a couple of interviews. Won't be there much longer.

Spence and all mall stores are a jip. I ended up purchasing my diamond from Kohinoor jewlers on falcon Ridge plaza. I got an identical rock that Spence was quoting me $22,000 and Maxins(SP) $24,000 for $17,000 there.

Check em out.

If you can afford $17K for a diamond then you can afford $24K for it...Don't be so cheap.

Or false-certified diamonds, since the average joe-schmoe on the street can't tell the difference between a D color vs a G color, or a VVS1 vs an SI2.

Not to defend crap chain diamond places like Spence or Maxins (the real deals on proper GIA cert diamonds are on the web from wholesalers, not in a brick & mortar), but small stores often have shady practice.

$17K for a shiny rock with an artificially inflated price?! That is absolutely insane.

It's not true love unless you spend 20K on a ring

Fun fact -- that's significantly more money than my wife and I spent on all three rings, the entire wedding, and the honeymoon combined.

And we're just as married as anyone else

GMG when you go out to to pick up lunch and get stuck behind the dude ordering lunch for the entire office. It blows my gears to smithereens when the dude proceeds to rifle off 10 different orders, each with some wacky addition or omission that makes the order infinitely more complex. Seriously, if your order is that specific, maybe do some planning ahead and phone or email it in. I can't believe people don't have the self awareness that they are being a giant tit by going in during the lunch rush and creating a 20 person line up because Debbie only wants half hummous and Darryl wants hot peppers on the side.

I haven't huffed and eye rolled that hard in a line up since some dude let his buddy cut in line.

Yeah, the 2nd ring is the ring that you give her during the ceremony. It's not as fancy.

I had no idea about the 2 rings for the girls thing either until I got engaged (its not how they did it in europe, so all the women in my family only had 1).

Seems a little silly to me to have two.

They still wear the engagement ring on the wedding day and continue to wear it throughout the marriage, but they also get a wedding band on the wedding day.

Speaking of bad jokes, that reminds me I have to write a best man speech for a wedding in 3 weeks. That grinds me gears. I hate public speaking as is, trying to write a "funny" speech makes it so much worse.
