I'm not a fan of male anthem singers. If they are replacing Heather, I hope they go with another woman.

Seeing as I only watch the games on TV and they always show close ups of the singers, I would prefer if they replaced her with a female at least as hot if not hotter.

And the Calgary Flames announce they have acquired Dion Phaneuf from the Toronto Maple Leafs - he will also be taking over the role of the Flames DJ.

They are also pleased to announce Elisha Cuthbert will be our new anthem singer.

I thought young Annie who replaced her for a bit last season did a great job. Our families are friends and when I went to visit her relatives in the Philippines last year, they were quite proud to see some of the pictures I brought of her standing up in front of 17,000+ people and singing the national anthem.

Maybe the Flames will keep the tradition of having Filipino singers....

Liscano did an excellent job. She never made the anthem about her, just sang, and did it well.

I hope they don't hire a wannabe (but obviously failed) opera singer like every other team seems to have.

Workopolis? C'mon Flames. It should be calgaryjobshop.ca!

Liscano was one of my faves in the league. Just sang the song well and didn't worry about theatrics. Wish her all the best.

very sad news if true, Lauren Hart and her are the best at what they do....

Not looking forward to having a new singer, I can take a couple loosing seasons but breaking in a terrible singer is asking too much
