“@vickihallch: Hearing Jon Cornish feeling OK and looking like he'll suit up Saturday against the Argonauts. If so, huge relief for the Calgary Stampeders.”

Not so fast, Vicki:
Calgary Stampeders running back Jon Cornish did not practice on Monday, still recovering from a concussion he suffered in Week 1 against the Montreal Alouettes.
Stampeders head coach John Hufnagel said the CFL's reigning Most Outstanding Player is still working to pass the first step of the League's concussion protocol.
No determination has been made on Cornish's status for the Stampeders' Week 3 contest against the Toronto Argonauts.

In a way, I'm glad they had the bye week.
Time to buy another box of Cornish Flakes until he comes back

If he hasn't passed the first step of the concussion protocols I think its very unlikely that we see him this week.
We might see more Walter with Jock Saunders as the second option, Cote slides in as the third back but sits at that fullback/TE hybrid position.

No need to rush him. Maybe target Labour Day as his return.

Well, hopefully they are healthy come crunch time.
If we have these types of injuries going into the playoffs I will be PO'ed.

Yup. We have the depth to make it through the regular season. The key will be peaking for the playoffs. Another one and done this year will be a significant disappointment.

Just to keep you guys in the loop. We're looking at having Cory Mace on the podcast tomorrow. If there are any questions that you'd like me to ask him, let me know.
Thanks

Hamilton will be without Collaros on Friday, I say let the guys heal up, there's no need to rush them back early.

Stamps RB Jon Cornish hopes to return to practice tomorrow. He said headaches lifted four or five days ago, through many forms of therapy

This organization is so good in the regular season with Huff at the helm it's disgusting. It literally does not matter who is on the field anymore, they continue to get it done.
