Guess I needed to clarify more. I could be wrong, but I doubt Superdogs experience the same number of casualties?

Watching some dude fly off a horse and neck tackle some Chihuahua would be hilarious.

So what are all these activists doing today now that Stampede is over?
The Stampede is easy pickings for attention and that's why they do it, happens every year.
Rodeo is just to big to shut down and means to much to Calgary, just look at all the people there everyday.

^ That just goes back to my original point. The Stampede is used because the attention whores know it can make them famous. The same cannot be said for the Ponoka Stampede or Airdrie Pro Rodeo.

On Friday we are attending the court hearing for Nicolino Ivano Camardi, who duct-taped a dog's mouth and starved it to death and taped up cat's mouth and tortured it to death then dumped the bodies in a back lane in Willow Park.

I am well aware of PETA's whining on the subject - that's precisely why I brought it up. However, I am not sure what point you think you are making.

Get off it, when has anyone become famous by protesting the Calgary stampede? It seems like the logical choice if you want to go to that extend to protest the rodeo. Why the hell would you go to Ponoka or Airdrie when you can get your opinion out to a larger number of people. Don't know why your so butt-hurt over others having a differing opinion on what is humane and what isn't.

Just as a point of interest, what do you hope to accomplish by attending that hearing in person?

I don't care that you have a differing opinion. I don't even care that those two morons from Vancouver have a differing opinion. But if you're going to be self-centred enough to make a spectacle out of yourself because you want to be famous, I will call you on it.
Now, please, for your own sake, get over yourself.

I thought I'd put this here as there seems to be more rodeo people here, then the other thread. Good story on Roper Fred Whitfield, will have to try to find his book.
