Understandable, but at the same time, it is also the most logical explanation given Garland's history with the victims. The charges bear that out - Two first degree charges because the crown believes he went there with the intention to kill the grandparents. A second degree charge for the child, who was simply on a sleepover on the wrong night.

Hopefully the bodies are found or that the person arrested tells where the bodies are. This poor family needs closure.

Scary thing is I suspect the case they have is pretty weak right now considering the time it took and the fact they had him in for a while and are just now charging him. Hope they can get a conviction.

The very very very angry and devastated part of me would be absolutely ok with the police beating the #### out of the suspect to obtain information on where this family is. The logical part of me knows that can't happen because it will jeopardize the case and I don't want this ####### getting away with this.

Maybe. But given they don't get a second chance at it, I don't think they would have moved on charges unless they actually believed they had a strong case.

Well that's why he's charged with two counts of 1st degree and one 2nd. He intended to go and hurt or kill the grandparents. He didn't anticipate the kid being there. The kid sadly is a victim of wrong place, wrong time and nothing more. He was not the intended victim, the grandparents were. Sadly as I said this guy is a professional criminal and decided no witnesses was best.

No one sympathizes with this guy here. But it's not hard to see what happened in this case with the available evidence.
