I'm pretty sure I saw him a couple of weeks ago on a side street here in Vancouver.
He's smaller than I am and I'm not a big guy.

Most hockey players are not "big". The strength they really work on is in their core and lower body.

Max has flown a bit under the fan radar, however thanks to this thread I predict he will factor favorably in the current polling. Probably around 4th.

Definitely, I meant stature.
I'm between 6'1 and 6'2 and he was shorter than me.
If it was, in fact, Max Reinhart at all.

One of my fav prospects for sure. He's the oldest reinhart brother but was picked much lower in the draft than his bros sam and griffin. I think that gives him some extra motivation as he feels he's got something to prove. It'll be interesting to see how he evolves into the nhl. I think he's gonna be an awesome player

Pretty much every NHLer I have seen in person looks like a regular fit guy. It is usually only goons, or freaks like Chara who really stand out.

Marcus nilson is who he reminds me of.
Lunch bucket type of player with decent hands who can play all 3 forward positions and excels more at the defensive aspect of the game than the offensive side.
Not the fleetest of foot but not slow, tenacious and resilient.

I think Reinhart's better than Granlund. Reinhart was the resaon Granlund played well in the AHL. He made so many players better. He looks good in the NHL and is really underrated. I think it's time to see if he can make the next step to everyday NHLer.

So I think that's where you got that idea from, but he played most of the year at center.

I see no reason why Max couldn't make the Flames as the 4th line centre this year. Every time he's had a call-up he's played very well. High-energy, speedy forechecking and responsible defensively. Perfect for the bottom 6.
Glencross Backlund Hudler
Raymond Monahan Colborne
Bollig Stajan Jones
Bouma Reinhart McGrattan
Byron

Holy crap that is an ugly lineup. That may be the worst lineup in the NHL from a skill perspective. Hudler is the only "skill" guy in the mix. That would have to be the favorite for McDavid. Tough to play against, but a consistent loser. That team would have to keep the goals against below two to stand a chance on a consistent basis. This is going to be a north-south team where every goal scored is ugly. Could be fun to watch.

Best way to get McDavid without intentionally losing... or is it actually an attempt to tank? Tough to tell. No one will be able to accuse the players or Bob Hartley of not trying hard enough.
It'll be fun when the youngsters get their call-ups throughout the season. Perhaps Bennett & Klimchuk get their 9 games of glory before they go back to junior. Poirier is a wild card; I get this strange feeling he can handle the NHL. If David Jones plays how he did in the 2nd half of the season I think he'll be shipped out for a bag of pucks and Poirier could be an excellent replacement. You have to wonder how long Treliving is planning on keeping Stajan around, with Arnold, Granlund and Knight all looking like capable replacements and Sam Bennett only a year or two away.
I think it's going to be a really interesting season. I hope Max Reinhart plays a big part in it.

Monahan and Backlund are also skill guys IMO. Good chance we see a Gaudreau, Granlund or Baertschi thrown in the mix at points.
But yeah our forward lineup is pretty weak. And when injuries hits it could get ugly.

If injuries hit, I'm more worried about our defence. After Wotherspoon we're looking at players with no NHL experience at all. Okay I forgot about Cundari but we are thin.

I could see Kulak getting called up later in the season. Hopefully Seiloff progresses well and can be in the mix as well.
As far as NHL experience, ya not much on the back-end.

Hard to believe Calgary doesn't make a couple more additions to the forward ranks before the season starts.
That's a dreadful lineup.

Definitely, lets add 1 or 2 more forwards to this rebuilding team so there's 0 spots for rookies...
If anything we need another vet D-man.
