Whenever you buy something at 7-11, they ask "Anything off the grill?"

First of all....it's not a freakin' grill of any kind. It's just a series of stainless steel rollers that rotate over a warming element. It's like referring to your Kia Rio as a sports car.

Second of all....why the heck would anyone want some flavorless taquito or hot dog that's been sitting there for a week?

Lastly, and most specifically....I'm usually only in a 7-11 to grab a quick morning coffee (which in fairness is pretty decent coffee) . Why in the world would I want a a crappy taquito or a hot dog from your spinning 'grill' of diarrhea at 6 o'clock in the morning?

You have to try a burger bite. It's shaped like a hot dog, but made out of hamburger, looks like a giant turd, and oh so delicious.

I wish I could buy those at the store, they are the ultimate camping grill format.

recent posting about a CPer being filmed while speeding on Glenmore reminded me of a weirdo I encountered on the road a while back.

I'm toodling through my own neighbourhood, about 9:00 pm on a summer's night, when this guy darts out of side street, cuts in front, slams on the brakes and concientiously blocks me, doing 20Km/hr for the the entire length of the SHCOOL ZONE until the next set of lights. Then he pulls up beside me and starts freaking out. Eyes popping, spit-flying, hand-waving grand-mal freak-outting about what a hateful, dangerous, life-endangering, self-absorbed b*tch I am.

I kind of thought of getting out of the car and giving him what for, too.

I like to think that he's since realized there isn't a playground zone there and lies awake in bed at night feeling embarrassed about it.

And really! He had no call to say I was self-absorbed. He doesn't even know me!

TWGMG.

Oh man, nothing caps off a night of drinking like 7-11 taquitos.

That was my go-to back when I lived at home in Hawkwood. The 7-11 was the halfway point between me and my buddy's house. Nothing quite hits the spot like a Taquito and Slurpee when you're stumbling home.

The good ol' days...

The Carney running that spinning wheel game with the different card suits grinded my gears last night.

I put on 6 dollars in change and it lands on my suit paying me 3 to 1 my money. He hands me $20 and I'm like you're missing some and then he hands me $3 in change. I don't even care about the dollar but I just found it funny that he couldn't do basic math and he was working at one of those places. I tell him it's still not right and he gets pissed off and tells me it's minimum $5 and next time to just use bills...WTF last I checked $6 is higher than $5 and if you don't want people using change then have a sign that says "only bills allowed because I suck at math".

Free chilli and cheese sauce. 7-11 is a dream world for late night drinking. Those hotdogs are amazing and "grilled" to perfection. I always compliment the chef.

When anyone asks you if you want something off the grill, regardless of time or place, the only answer is "yes. Yes I do."

Agreed 100%. I actually prefer the petro Canada neighbours ones. Their 1/4lb dogs are great.

Try the chicken at the Clairesholm 7-11. It's my go too when heading home from down south.

I must suck at math too, but at 3:1 odds, if you bet $6, shouldn't you have only won $18?

What is this world coming to when we can't even trust the fine fellows that run our spinny wheel card games?

I once knew a guy that would open a big bag of Doritos inside the store and load the chili and cheese sauce right in the bag.

Mind blowing... I know

People who film music acts with their phones.

I am standing at the Coke stage for The Trews, when a short guy comes around and stands in front of me. No big deal; he is short, so he isn't in my line of sight. Then he pulls out his cell phone, raises it up and blocks my view, and starts filming the show. So then, my passive- aggressive nature kicks in, so I grab my daughter, put her on my shoulders, and walk around in front of the guy. Anyway, I have very little idea why somebody would film this, even if it wasn't a cell phone, and it was a bigger act - who actually goes back and would rewatch it? Can't people just enjoy listening to live music?

I know a guy who buys the dirty bird (7-11 chicken) and covers it with chilli and cheese sauce. It's his mid evening snack when he's sober

In horse racing 5-1 to win gets you $12 for a $2 bet. It's 5x2+2. Don't know if it's the same at an exhibition game.
