As luck would have it (and I was really hoping it would turn out this way) I am currently visiting family in Germany and I will soon experience WM2014 in all its glory here. This place comes to a standstill when the Mannschaft plays! Can't wait!

Enjoy it! I was in Germany during the '98 world cup in France. It is an awesome parry (until they lose and everyone goes into depression). Hopefully that won't happen today.

Match prediction. 2-1 Germany. Klose gets the winner in what is expected to be his last international match.

Robben wins the Golden Ball

If we win tonight I will never get as drunk as I will tonight again in my life. I was alive in 1990 but only 5 years old, I vaguely remember my mom balling like a baby when we won. right now we're so excited.

This must be an impossible game for Brazil fans to watch. They all hate Argentina on a national scale. Yet, the pain of humiliation from Germany is too fresh and bitter.

Brazillians are 100% behind Germany. They really appreciated the way Germany beat Brazil. Playing beautifully.

That, and Argentina winning the World Cup in Brazil would probably be their worst nightmare.

Anyone know where I could catch the game down at the Stampede? I've got tickets to the rodeo finals, but this trumps that, so ideally I'd be able to watch the game (with sound) and then go watch the end of the rodeo.

Elbow Casino might be a bit packed...

Don't miss the @FIFAWorldCup playing at 1pm today in the Station. #Stampede2014

What "dafuq' is the "Station"? In the Stampede C-Train station? Their grounds map says nothing of it

Seems like a simple enough matchup the analyze: If Germany scores early and forces Argentina to open it up, Germany will probably cruise to the victory. If Argentina scores early or keeps it deadlocked deeper into the game, they'll fall back and wait for a few counter attacking opportunities and hope for some Messi magic.

I would guess Argentina tries to press higher and generally plays more open than they did against Netherlands.

Germany's weakness is a somewhat slow defense, especially compared to Argentinian offense. Argentina will, I think, want to put a lot of pressure on them to make it more difficult for Germans to get controlled attacks and cause some chaos from which they could score.

Kramer hasn't played a ton. Wild card for sure.

Neuer is going to see ALOT of balls to his feet I think.
