The only way I can see Cleveland getting Love without giving up Wiggins is to get a third team involved. Or hope Love demands a trade only to Cleveland.

ESPN reporting that the Cavs have offered Waiters, Bennett, and a 1st round pick for Love.
Cavs have 3 potential first round picks next year to play with as well, so they could always add another first.
I think they get it done without giving up Wiggins. With it clear that Love wants to join Lebron, and with only a year left on his contract, I am not sure if another team will be willing to give up a ton only to see him walk at seasons end (aka the Dwight Howard Fear).
Irving
Wiggins
Lebron
Thompson
Love
That would be a pretty ridiculous starting 5. Lebron would be the oldest at 29, and the rest are under 25.

I'll be surprised if Bennett, Waiters and a #1 will be enough. If Minnesota is demanding Klay Thompson in any Love trade to Golden State, I'd expect them to demand Wiggins in any trade. The trade Minnesota apparently wanted for Love was Thompson, David Lee, Harrison Barnes and a 1st round pick. That's a lot, and though they'll come down, they probably still expect that package minus Barnes. For Cleveland to match that, Wiggins simply has to be part of the package.
More than likely that kind of trade (Waiters and Bennett) will work at the trade deadline if Minnesota hasn't traded him and at that point will take something rather than nothing. But I expect them to play hardball as long as possible.

Looking back the Heat wasn't as dominate as it seems. They needed PJ Brown to hit two jumpers to beat the Celtics enroute to their first ring, and then the Ray Allen miracle shot for the second ring.
Surely the Cavs is a project but even Lebron sees that bringing back the big 3 will not be a good receipt for immediate success too.
It was fun watching the Heat while this lasted but I'm ready to move on to other things now.

I think the Warriors gave a better offer than that having Harrison Barnes and David Lee in the offer. Bennett, Waiters, and a late first is nothing for Love. Bennett and a late first are simply nothing in the NBA and Waiters is a serviceable player. Bare minimum they have to throw in Wiggins.
I might be the only one around, but I don't see this Cavs team as NBA title favorites yet. I think Wiggins and Thompson are just flat out bad fits with Lebron, until one of them can shoot. Last year they couldn't even cut it into the playoffs (in the east!) with a better bench and Deng. The Cavs will be good, but I'm unsure about title contenders.
I think the Warriors package is better right now but also seems to give Minnesota the chance of being very average for the next 10 years. Thompson and Barnes with Rubio and Pekovic looks good enough for 7-10 but not bad enough to get a top pick.
The Cavs package may not get them into the play-offs next year but it gives them a ton of cap space, a ton of young pieces and a good shot at a top 5 pick to get the elite guy needed to suceed in this league.
If I was them I would push for Wiggins but I can understand why they go for the Cavs package over the Warriors, especially when Love says he will only sign long term in Cleveland.

Wiggins seems like a perfect fit for Lebron. A good defender and super athlete that can get up and down the court with him and give him a break from guarding the top wing everey single minute of every game. He also is a ball hog that will stop the ball or pout when Lebron is going of for 20 in a quarter.
Thompson is likely a bench player but still not sure how he isn't a good fit with Lebron. He can rebound and provide adequate defense that is about all Lebron needs from a big.
Also, anyone who got down on the Cavs at 40-1 a few weeks ago must be beyond thrilled right now. And anyone who bet on the Heat at 6-1 must be on suicide watch.

Yeah every team needs superior wing defenders, but the fact that Wiggins doesn't shoot particularly well is what I'm getting to. Wiggins is not very polished offensively and with that he won't provide Lebron the floor spacing that he needs to be effective.
Again with Thompson, he won't provide Lebron with the floor spacing that he needs.
Lebron needs shooters, so defenses cannot collapse on him.

With the way the current NBA CBA is contructed there will be teams every year that has cap space. Minnesota if they take the Cavs package will have okay cap space and then they'll sign a player that will will be overpaid. Might has well hold on the the rights of Thompson and Barnes, which is probably 10x better than Waiters and Bennett at the moment.
I know I'll get a lot of critiscism for saying this, but Wiggins and Klay are pretty equal in my books. If you watched Wiggin's this year, he wasn't great at anything and he is very unpolished. I don't even think he has the drive to be an all-star more than twice. Klay can at least shoot the lights out, something that is much needed in the NBA.
I really hope they don't trade wiggins, having three of Canada's best basketball players playing and winning championships with Lebron would be huge for national team development. Trading wiggins for one year of Kevin Love is a mistake in my mind.
Honestly, if I am Minnesota.. I dont even think Wiggins 1 for 1 is enough. Kevin Love is an MVP candidate every year and is only 25. He told a news reporter last night that he would be very open to signing an extension if Lebron went to Cleveland.
Well Minnesota of course does not want to trade one of the 10 best players in the NBA. But to lose him for nothing like the Raptors did with Bosh or Cleveland with LeBron would hurt too. This is why they are being firm right now in what they want. Wiggins alone won't be good enough, it'd likely be Wiggins, Bennett and a pick, maybe a trade exception or Varejao if it's a sign and trade.

It is good for the city of Cleveland and the NBA that Lebron James is back with Cavaliers. I guess I can enjoy watching him play again. I guess part of the reason why I cannot stand him is because Miami practically bought the championship and just because he was playing with that egomaniac Chris Bosh. I am with other posters here to wish that Cleveland keeps the 3 Canadians on the team. I think Andrew Wiggins will complement Lebron James. If team wants to key on Lebron, Wiggins can do the job. I like that Tristan Thompson is improving a centre something that Miami missed in their championship series with San Antonio Spurs. Bosh was their centre but he played scared. Birdman is a hard worker but he was outplayed by Duncan. Thompson is young and improving and much quicker than Bosh or Birdman. Irving as a point guard is a lot better than Miami's PG combined. Then if Cleveland picks Love, he can definitely help.
Potential lineup : PG Irving, SG Wiggins, SF Lebron James, PF Kevin Love, C Tristan Thompson.
Agreed. Wonder what the Lebron haters have to say now.
Well call me cold hearted but this move doesn't redeem Lebron in the slightest with me. After reading that article one thing is clear, Lebron did this for himself, to boost his ego, have a better shot at winning, and alleviate the guilt (to a small degree) that he feels for screwing his home town. That whole article boils down to "Here I come unwashed masses, your messiah has returned! Sure I love Miami but they ain't good anymore, and I feel guilty, but I am doing this for love!"
Sorry, but reading that article has more to do with how the guy sees himself as some messiah to the poor. Is this all about him helping his hometown? Maybe, but it also is a better shot at winning again. Miami wasn't working so again the guy jumps ship, and goes to the better situation.
To make it clear, I am not a Heat fan, never have been. However, those saying this some how absolves him, and makes him "the man"? Sorry, the NBA has a lot of great players who I would call "the man" way before Lebron. Tim Duncan and the entire Spurs organization stands quite far ahead of Lebron to me for starters. Kevin Durant never left OKC, he is as humble as they come, and he is "the man" before Lebron.
Lebron is as wack as they come. Gilbert is a tool as well. I could care less if teh Cavs win next year, but if Lebron wants to show the kids a good role model he'll point to Durant or even the Spurs that beat him last year. Those are role models, Lebron is doing this for Lebron and no one else.
