Preds Welcome Sister Sedin
The trading continued for the Nashville Predators, moving its franchise player Henrik Zetterberg to Minnesota. In return the Preds get Daniel Sedin and highly regarded prospect Alexei Kaygorodov.
"We had made Zetts available, and we got some interesting offers. in this deal Seding basically will replace Zetts. The key to this deal for us is Kaykorodov, who played in Russian Super League last year and performed very well. We have started talking to him and his agent in hopes to bringing him to North America." Said GM Schum.
Zetterberg is due a raise and would have wanted a significant raise from the three million a year he made last year.
"We'll save some money but thats not the reason we made this deal, I'm sure Zetts and Wild will find a common ground on a fair deal for both sides." Said GM Schum.
Preds are still looking to add some third line help, they have alot of scoring on top 2 lines and good defence.
"We have enough scoring but we need some defensive forwards to compliment the scorers." Said Coach Carlyle.
