Default New jersey numbers for Engelland, Raymond, Hiller, Wotherspoon and Baertschi

Sven and Tyler possibly promoted to full time duty this season?

Edit: ahhh forgot about Burke's number policy

Sven wore 27 in Portland but Smith had it here since he turned pro.
Wotherspoon wore 26 in Portland but had a training camp number last year.

Anyone with a Baertschi 47 jersey pissed about this? Personally I wouldn't be.

The policy is great but not worth a debate again.

Ignoring that Sven and Wotherspoon wore those numbers in junior and you g guys go from big to low numbers all the time when they move from AHLers to NHLers.

Seems silly to blame Burke for something that goes on all the time on every NHL team.

Not super stoked about it, but oh well.

Funny thing is that management said prospects would carry camp-numbers (high numbers in the 50s, 60s, 70s), and only get "real numbers" when they make the team. Could be that Baertschi and Wotherspoon are thought of us players who they think are ready to make the next step. Which is all too unshocking.

all I'm saying is why not let the guys wear the numbers they want? I don't see the fuss about high numbers ... some of the greatest players in league history have worn high numbers. Anyway, don't want to derail the thread with this.

I remember Sven saying back then that he wouldn't change from 47 to something else because a lot of people had already bought a 47 jersey. Maybe he has changed his mind about this ... or has been told to change his mind about this

If #93/#39 isn't an option for Bennett #19 would look great on him.

Hiller has worn #1 throughout his whole career ... in Davos, in Portland, in Anaheim. Nothing to read into this.

#27 was the regular number Sven wore in junior - it probably is the number he would want.
