I think if Argentina win the World Cup, in the Maracana, Brazil would just declare war.
"Welp. Looks like we're conquering Argentina."

Definitely a foul, but thought Schneider may have caught a touch of the Robbens.

No kidding, he looked out of it.

^Side note - that's one hell of a random url address for an Argentinian soccer player getting a head injury?

I just turned it on.
Did one of the Dutch players just explode next to their goal?

Sneijder going off would be a huge loss.

No way. That was clearly a very hard not to the inside of the foot/shins. Looks very painful to me

Not as far as I know. There was an even worse case of a player being totally blacked out for a good ten seconds and returning to play in this tournament. Can't remember the game now.
That said, they are obviously much less common in soccer than in hockey. It's the repetitive head injuries that are the biggest threat, from what I've understood.
I'd like to see the ref give out a card to the Dutch. So many hard fouls that things could get bad when the clock ticks on and the pressure rises. Argentinians will probably start retaliating at some point.

Germany has to licking their chops. Neither team looks particularly impressive, so if Germany shows up ready to play Sunday I don't think it'll even be close.

Slow mo looked very Robben-like. Obviously caught him pretty hard in the wrong place.

Every soccer player starts grimacing before contact, which makes it harder to spot the real from the Canuckish

I think both teams have been playing great, great first half.
Of course neither team looks dominating, because they're evenly matched. Both teams are filled with very skilled players, and both are playing a very good tactical game.

As only a casual observer, I'm confused by the yellow card. Can someone explain how that gets a yellow? Is it perhaps due to a warning from the ref?
