if the second one didn't have the stupid white mark in the background instead of the continuing scenery it would look great.

I completely agree. That's why I voted for the first one.

The third one actually has both the wheat fields and the Rockies, but it's too cartoonish. The second one is ok if they get rid of the white bar. Thus I choose the first one - clean looking and relatively stylish

Third one is drab, first one cartoony, and the middle one has an odd contrast. The web site definitely needs to go, no matter which one is chosen.

The second one would be unreadable without the white bar. It might be an ok picture, but it's a horrible plate design.

I don't understand why we need the website. Is it for people who don't know how to Google search?

we should probably include the website for Google on there too just in case.

Wasn't there some big controversy last year (maybe even longer ago) about the Federal Government spending a bunch of money to re-do the Government of Canada's letterhead and materials so that it looked inline with the PC party materials?

I don't like the cartoon style of either the first or third one, so the second one appeared the best to me. Don't like the white band through it, but it still beats out drawings.

The 2nd one looks like baby's first Illustrator project in the big boy world.

So are we going to be forced to buy the new plates or only new plate purchases will have to change? I'm sure it's in some article somewhere, but I didn't bother reading it.
BTW, the first option is the best.

As long as we don't get front license plates, I don't care what they look like.

Graphic plates? Yuk!
If I had to choose, I think the third one is the best. It's abstract, modern and timeless at the same time. I also like the alberta.ca font but I'm confused why that needs to be included. It's like 1998 all over again.

you'll get them with the renewal of your registration after they've been issued. All vehicles will get them.

Don't like the wheat stocks or the website placement on the first one.
The 3rd one is cartoony and the colours are too pastel.
Don't like the white stripe on the 2nd one but it wins my vote as least annoying.

"Albertans can receive a new plate from their registry agent when they renew their registration during their regularly scheduled annual renewal, or they may purchase the new plate ahead of their regular renewal time for a fee."
According to that wording, it sounds like it's not forced, but I could be wrong.

The white bar in the second one is atrocious. Sadly, it appears to be winning.
