True dat.

I finally have my mom trained after like 10 years of her horrible voicemails. She is the queen of a five minute long spiel. Then when I call her she gives me the spiel all over again so I'm treated to hearing some ######ed story twice in a row. Now she just says: "Sliver. Mom. Bye."

On the flip side, they finished adding a bridge on 52nd Street crossing the tracks last year, and they'll start construction on the Glenmore/Ogden interchange crossing the tracks soon too. Slowly but surely, they're addressing the issue.

I've been trying to train my parents to leave better voicemails or none at all. I get messages of "Hi Swarly, it's mom/dad, call us back". Thank you for leaving a voicemail that did the job of my caller ID.

I'd love a five-minute message from my mom. I'm sad that I don't have parents any more to leave long voicemail messages.

At least you have someone to sit around with and do nothing. It could be worse and you could be alone.

Yeah not really. He's of Asian descent and hardly speaks any English. It's actually more uncomfortable than anything.

Chasing down receivables really grinds my gears.

My record so far is being paid 2 years after the invoice was sent out. There are of course those who just never pay at all, so better late than never I guess.

I'm more surprised so many people's parents call them by their screen name.

Soccer.

Seriously, I hate this sport, and when I accidentally stumbled upon CBC and see a minute of a game, all my pre-conceived notions of soccer are reinforced.

Someone is "hurt" every 8 seconds, writhes in pain, then gets up and plays for the rest of the game when they don't get the call they want.

Absolutely maddening. Can't wait until this pansy fest is over and I don't have to hear about soccer for another 4 years.

It is better than Tour De France. I don't know why they bother to broadcast that stuff and I wonder what sort of sick individual would sit on the couch and watch the stages in their entirety. The only part I want to see are the crashes and associated carnage.

It is better than hockey. I don't know why they bother to broadcast that stuff and I wonder what sort of sick individual would sit on the couch and watch the draft, free agency, trade deadline, prospect camp, preseason, regular season in their entirety and then post about all of it on the internet on a message board dedicated to a team who has only made it out of the first round once since 1989. The only part I want to see are the hits and fights.
