didn't include 13th/14th forward and 7th defenseman because I really didn't know who to put there. Don't want Granlund, Wotherspoon etc to sit in the box, I'd rather have them go back to the AHL to play big minutes. Reinhart has earned an NHL spot by now, so I'd be fine with him being one of the extras. The other one can be Wolf, van Brabant or whoever. No idea about the 7th defenseman ... I'd prefer if the Flames were able to sign somebody instead of having Wotherspoon up there as an extra.

I put Gaudreau in there but I believe it'll be a fight between him and Sven for that spot. Everybody else is probably a lock.

When healthy. We likely will have a few injuries up and down the lineup throughout the year. Rookies will get their chance even if they don't right at Game 1.

I'm liking most of these line-ups. At this point I'd definitely want Stajan on the 3rd line behind Monahan and Backlund. He would be a great Stephan Yelle type centreman who can take defensive face-offs, play PK and chip in offensively from time to time.

The more I see this roster developing, the less room I see for Bennett. He's definitely going back to Junior unless he comes in 10lb's heavier and outplays everyone (by a large margin).

Dear lord that right-wing is weak.

The last two people I would want on opening night roster are Gaudreau and Bennett. Let them grow and transition in the minors for the first part of the season. We have nothing but time with this roster, so there is no sense rushing prospects and establishing insane expectations. I hope we see Baertschi for a little bit before we see JG and SB.

I really hope Granlund/Wotherspoon are not kept up as healthy scratches. IMO, they need to either be NHL regulars or getting top minutes in the AHL.
