I am proud to say that I was at the grounds today. Great day weather wise, and an amazing day as a Canadian. Unfortunately we didn't stay for the whole Roanic match as we had to get our 8 month old back home to bed. They were showing the Federer match on the big screen anyway, and we had to miss the Bouchard match point on the big screen because Murray was warming up. Great day none the less.
I am not a huge tennis fan (as noted by my lack of participation in the thread), but I cannot recommend enough how great a day out is at the All England Club. Very reasonable admission price (£17 today), great sport, great facility, all day event. If you ever have the chance it is totally worth it.
As alway, a couple photos

Milos serving is absurd right now, to the point that 70% of his first serves aren't even being put into play. If he can keep his serve game at the level it's been so far, I think he has a wonderful chance to win the whole thing.

How exciting! As a tennis fan Wimbledon is definitely on my bucket list.
Something I've wondered, do you buy tickets to individual courts or are you free to move around where there's room?

Anyone can enter the annual draw for tickets for the show courts, but i believe the tickets are for the full 2 weeks. I think it is mostly super fans, tennis club, and other organizations like this that usually enter the draw and split the tickets between the members, some of which end up getting resold. There are a few hundred tickets that are sold to people queuing outside the grounds each day up until the quarter finals. The people tend to queue/camp over night for these tickets. The show courts are: Centre Court, Court 1, and Court 2. Everyone else in the queue gets into the grounds where there are about 15 other courts that you can watch matches and come and go as you please. There is also the hill, resturants/concessions, and the practice court area that you can wander around.

Kvitova beats Safarova, so Genie and Halep should be up in about 20 minutes.

Genie living dangerously. Gets broken with three unforced errors, then breaks right back the next game.

That hurts, she should be able to continue, but Genie has to be merciless now and move her side to side to test the ankle.

Genie is being way too generous to Halep. Make her play points, I know she doesn't want to tone down the aggressiveness but make Halep work for it more.

Needed that set badly. Could not let Halep get the big confidence boost, and now you gotta make a somewhat injured player go three full sets.

Why not end it in two sets?

Genie is leading on nearly every statistic. If she can cut the unforced errors down, she should be able to finish this off in two.

Old man Nestor and Zimonjic lost their doubles match today, but Pospisil and Sock are currently leading their match.

Nestor has another chance in mixed later today.
And Genie breaks! Time to consolidate it and bear down!

Two double faults for Halep to lose that game. She also doubled in the tiebreak. I'm only watching on the gametracker - is Halep starting to look as nervous as the stats imply?
