From everything I've read the grandparents were selling everything off via kijiji and an estate sale so they could move, and CPS want to know if anyone saw anyone suspicious at the sale or otherwise.
Crazy situation, I can't see a motive for the grandparents to kidnap their grandson (who they have access to anyways), so I'd imagine there is a third party at play.

I wish people would stop using the term "foul play".

Why? It's the term the police have used pretty much from the start.

"* On Monday evening, police issued an Amber Alert for Nathan and his grandparents, Alvin and Kathryn Liknes. They think foul play is involved because the disappearance is out of character."

on the late newas last night they indicated that there would be a presser this morning and that the family in conjunction with CPS will be offering a reward of something like $100,000.
I was wondering if the family funds this.
I hope that they are all found safe - I can't imagine what the parents are going thru.....

"Foul play" is disrespectful to poultry. Kind of a speciesist term.

Nothing new, seemed more like a press conference for the family to reach out to the missing family. The whole thing seems odd though. No comments regarding the case as expected.

Police are asking anyone who attended the estate sale and/or purchased items from the sale to contact them.

That little guy looks a lot like my little guy, swap the brown for blue eyes and they could be twins. Scary what this family is going through. I can't even imagine what they are going through. Not being able to be there for my kids (help them/protect them) is the only fear I have in life.
I hope everyone is safe.

770/Global live tweets of presser:
Family of Nathan O'Brien addresses media "Nathan you are our superhero right now, and we’re going to bring you home very soon". Family asks whoever has Nathan to return him safe... grandparents planning on moving to Edmonton and then were going to go on for Mazatlan but then planning to go back to Edmonton. Family working with police on possible reward. Mom adds, "we know Nathan's out there... we don't believe anyone would have a grudge against our parents." Grandparents of Nathan O'Brien had recently bought home in #yeg. Nathan: most loving human being, people would buy stuff at estate sale and say, Grandma, you have have to make sure you say thank you.
CPS: marks found on side of the house being examined, have received more than 100 tips, 6 detectives working on case. Longer it goes on, CPS is becoming more concerned.
Stf Sgt Doug Andrus says police want to exhaust investigative strategies before moving to reward... says areas nearby canvassed and police are looking for closed circuit camera video. Still lots of questions. They've had a number of tips... following up on them....some are taking time away from investigation but they have to be followed up. Tips have come from as far as east and west coast. CPS have been in contact with border crossing officials, though they have no information they crossed the border. US authorities notified.
