I hope we sign Peter Mueller. Him and Steve Downie are really the only other FA I'm interested in.
Mueller could be a good sleeper pick up. RW who has size, he should be on Treliving's radar.

We have enough players like Ott on this team now. Engelland, Bollig, Bouma, McGrattan, Wolf all these players play with that kind of edge and are much younger than Ott. Don't get me wrong, I do think Ott is still a serviceable player for many teams out there (I could see Edmonton knocking on his door or possibly a reunion with Dallas) But I don't think he adds anything more to this team than we already have.

Downie is a guy I want us to target, at his height he put up 46 points/208 pims -- 32 points/171 pims in back to back seasons with Tbay while putting up 14 points in 17 games in the playoffs the year they lost to Boston in game 7 conference finals. He is a guy who at 27 fits a lot of our needs including a serviceable guy on the right wing. Please Treliving, target this guy!

He's also a poor lockerroom presence, by many accounts, and has been in fights with multiple teammates. Including his 20 year old captain in Landeskog. Might not be worth it to have him around the kids.

No way he's coming to Calgary. Treliving said many times he wants character players. The guy is a dirty slim ball and lacks integrity. No thanks.

Of what's left, Id only be interested in Kulemin, or maybe Setoguchi on a one year bounce back contract. I like Vrbata and all, but the guys 33 and I can't see him signing anything less than a 4 year deal.
Also, Winnik if the term isn't too long.

Chris Johnston @reporterchris 12m A name to keep an eye on in is Petri Kontiola. The Finnish centre is talking with five or six NHL teams about a contract.
Apparently bought out his own KHL contract w/850K€ of his own money to come to the NHL.
