Honestly, before today I didn't even know he played D. I figured he was a run-of-the-mill fist-chucking forward. I'll take him over Butler but won't lose sleep over whether he signs here or not.

Every Canadian fan base has its own identity and if there's one thing I notice about Flames fans it's that you guys hate your rivals more than you love your own team.

Guy is the best player in franchise history and no matter what he does nothing can change that.

No his accomplishments will still be there and some people will still love him, free to do so.

To me it would be like spitting in the face of our fanbase though and I would lose a lot of respect for him.

Especially on a day where a heart and soul guy like Josh Gorges refused to go back into Montreal wearing a Leafs jersey.
