I like Raymond. He's a very good skater and does occasionally come up with the puck in the corners. However, the prices for FA's are ridiculously high. There's no way a guy like him is really worth north of 3 Million Dollars per season.
Not a fan of this deal. Raymond is a one dimensional offensive player who disappears in the playoffs.
I guess it's good he'll be gone by the time we get back into the playoffs then.

Good deal, Raymond is better than many here are giving him credit for. He has Canuck and Leaf stink on him, doesn't mean he won't be a good Flame. $3.whatever million is cheap

"Who cares about the money" is not a reasonable way to run a hockey club.
I mean he was a great signing for Toronto last year but that was when he cost a million bucks. Even if it was 2ish it would have been good. 3.5? This is an overpay by a fairly significant margin.
How is he overpaid by a significant margin? A 28 year old speedster who can score 15-20 goals and 40-50 points. Not saying it's a bargain but seems to be fair value for him.
