Default Moving to Calgary sometime next year...

So, I'll be moving to Calgary sometime next year in accordance with my Dad's new job and I'd just like to know about the top five things in your guys mind I need to know about the place, good and the bad!

Oh yeah, I may or may not be a Canucks fan so just wondering how many fellow Nuckleheads will be around there?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers.

There were many Canuck fans here when they were winning, now there are none. Like it always used to be.

So you come to a Flames board as a ####### fan and expect mature answers?

Probably would have been better served leaving out that little nugget of information and just said you were moving to Calgary.

There really isn't anything to say other than if the Canucks lose a game please don't burn down the city.

Things worth mentioning:
It doesn't rain for 240 days a year like it does in Vancouver.
It gets cold in the winter, but the chinooks make it bearable.
We have the opposite of humidity

Make sure you guys get a house in Airdrie, it's only 15 minutes away from downtown. Super convenient commute!!

Don't worry Mathew, its my dad's job that lead me to Calgary From Vancouver thus showing me the truth (Flames) and making obvoius the Devil's deciept (Canucks).

The good is great, its a safer city then GVA, the weather is hit and miss, mostly miss and the people are great. Hopefully you'll attend school here and make friends fast.

Not enough to start a riot if that's what you're thinking.

Can confirm the last one .... Moved here, did look, did not go well. I would also suggest eating wings at mugshots.

If you're a Canucks Fan, we don't want you. Ask your Dad to try and get a transfer to Vancouver instead. You'll love the Fans there, they are very mature.
