let's get back to the free agency talk, more interesting than finding reasons to attack management for relatively meaningless issues...

Canucks are pursuing Iginla apparently

http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/529762

Also going after Ryan Miller

That would be fantastic if the Canucks grabbed those two on multi year deals and kept striving for the dream with the Sedin twins for the next 3 or 4 years.

i don't want to have to stop cheering for iginla, so no way would it be fantastic if he ever donned the canucks jersey.

I would have to officially ask for a name change on CP out of complete disgust.

I'll be thrilled when this board stops cheering for Iginla like he was still a Flame.

But not this way. Never this way

Good for them. Iginla wants a shot at the cup with his last few seasons, he's not going to go to that garbage fire.

Would very much like to see the Canucks sign Miller (but not Iginla - that would be ugly)

Biggest non-tendered RFA's:
Galiardi and Byron.

Good luck to both. Both will find good new homes.

What exactly was I lamenting about?

I didn't even mention management in my initial post. I just said that I don't think leaking information about what almost happened paints a positive picture. I didn't imply it was Treliving doing it, but then someone asked the question if Treliving was saying these things to reporters, so I did my best to answer his question. You are implying that I said something that I didn't say.

If the difference is people make fun of the Oilers because their management volunteers the information and it isn't just leaks to the media, then fine. I disagree but you're entitled to your opinion. I think it looks bad either way.

Byron didn't receive a QO? That makes me disappointed.
