Thanks, I'll catch a replay later.

Stamps have been very very very undisciplined. A Hufnagel theme throughout his time here

He was blocked right into the kicker, bad call.

Sanders has to make better decisions on returns than what we've seen in this game. Huff won't have much patience

Very disappointed in the crowd. Calgary can do much better than that.

Pretty meh game, the first half was two bad teams playing. The Stamps played better in the second half.

Discipline was a problem for both teams.

Hope Cornish and the Alouette are both ok

The Price TD is among the worst defense I've ever seen

Ochocinco is being wasted by playing on the strong side wide out. He was wide open for most of the game

Cornish on the radio. Sounds alright. Says he got Hebert with a cheapish shot earlier in the game, Hebert got him, no hard feelings.

He doesn't remember the hit but everything else is clear. Sounds like good news

Maybe, hard to say right now. That was an awful interception by Glenn a few minutes ago though.

Good news. Really think he is the heart of the team.

Dominating game by the Stamps. Good to hear Cornish is going to be all right. Mitchell looked good and zero turn overs.

Saw the replays.

Lewis' hit was clean, but cheap. Cheap as the guy he hit was no longer part of the play and cheap given the scoreboard. That said it was clean. I did think he should have gotten a taunting penalty as he basically stood over the guy and celebrated.

The Hebert hit. I can't decide what to think of it. That type of tackle happens 20+ times a game except the guy's hand is slightly lower and gets him in the chest - not the neck. So because of that I think the disqualification was harsh. BUT, because it happened right after Lewis KOed an Alouette he was likely trying to hurt (NOT injure, there is a big difference) Cornish. Give him a fine and be done with it. Hebert was also evading an Alouette as he was making the tackle so it is tough to say. Watching it in slow motion makes it worse too. I thought the DQ was ridiculous while at the game as there was no obvious penalty. Now I think it may have been a tad harsh but the refs needed to get control of the game back. Fine him and be done with it.

Sounds like Cornish is going to be ok, hopefully the Alouette will be too

Our crowds become more pathetic with each passing year. The amount of grey emptiness you see on the ends of the stands grows each year like dead patches of grass on a lawn.

This year it's gotten to the point where you can see large amounts of empty seats almost right up to the field on the ends. Our fanbase kind of sucks, but McMahon is also a joke and with all the games on TV I can see why it's happening.

Gotta get on a new stadium soon, and from everything I've heard it will be become reality when the Flames new arena is announced.

Hebert also with a very good interview on TSN. Says it wasn't intentional and hopes Cornish is ok

based off 1 game, in which it seems like mitchell had a good game, in a dominant win, 300 yards thrown .........

i would understand that comment if we lost or mitchell had bad stats, but he had good stats...

i would almost guarantee that Glenn would of thrown an interception

That makes no sense. Ya a clean hit that happens 20+ times a game is a hit to the shoulders/chest. A dirty hit like Hebert made is a straight close line hit to the head and is penalized for good reason.

Just like a hockey hit is legal when your elbow is down and hits a players chest, when an elbow is high and hits a player directly in the head it is a penalty and sometimes an suspend-able offence.

It was a dirty hit. Cornish was running upright. If he was falling down as Hebert hit him it would be a bit more understandable but to fly through the air and close line a guy is ridiculous.

The ejection was well warranted. I would suspend him one game, but Im sure a fine is all there will be. Head shots don't belong in any sport. Hit the guy as hard as you want in the shoulders/chest and all is good.

I know your a Rider's fan but try and show a little bit of unbias..

Crowd was only 26k. Little surprised considering it's the home opener on a beautiful (albeit windy) day.

Thought BLM looked good for his first start in 2014. Fuller with some big play potential -- had some ups and downs though (roughing the kicker call, missed block on a Cornish run; however, he immediately came back with the big catch downfield). The TD to Mo Price was a thing of beauty -- knew they wouldn't catch him. Sinopoli was solid as well -- some nice catches in the second half.

Troy Smith has a strong arm and good poise in the pocket, but they never got into a rhythm on offense. Kept trying to get it to Duron Carter (mostly unsuccessfully); Ochocinco was a non factor (Bennett had an absolutely monster game -- almost had 3 INT with the early one on the sideline and the big one that got called back).

Overall, a nice way to start the season -- nice bounce back from that stinker in BC.
