The problem with Tkachev is that it would be difficult to bring him over as he seems to have the skill to play in the KHL but would need a year or two in the AHL at a much lower salary for an outside shot at the nhl. Your right though that as a 5 or 6 pick their is probably value there but it is a longer shot than Johnny.

My point was more to trusting your scouts than just going by the order of the consensus board. Flames scouts have made some pretty astute picks in the 2nd round and up over the past 4 drafts.

Right thats it, switched off their coverage. FFS, they should be covering the draft, not recapping previous drafts and talking about teams farm systems. Abysmal coverage.

i tuned into the fan about 10 mins ago. the nhl network/tsn coverage was garbage.
