Well let me light a flare in your personal space and shine a laser pointer in your eye, and we'll see if you feel terrorised. Terrorism has many more meanings than just your a-typical "jihad", which is not what I was implying.

Haha, yeah, it's only the Algerians that throw flares.
While I'm happy for the Algerian win, that Algerian bench player who batted the ball from the Russian player on the sideline two times should have been given a red card.

More like the refs clearly should not have let the first time slide. Most likely that would have stopped him.
Whenever I think flares and soccer I usually think Italy. Happens a lot over there (when, you know, they're actually allowed to have fans at the game) and in Europe in general. I would really like know how you can just take a flare into a game (it can certainly be used as a weapon...).

At the world cup though? Its a different class of people that go over to Brazil, not every Joe Heckler can afford to fly across the world, and most, if not all, generally don't bring flares.

Not sure. Do people in Algeria have enough money to go on their own? Is it a bunch of sheikhs with oil money? I can only assume Algeria is one of them arab emirates. And those looked live gov't quality flares...so yes.

I think maybe you should stay away from the internet for the night, you're going guano loco.

They threaded the needle but huge relief the US made it to the 16. Bradley has been bad offensively with shockingly bad touches but Jermaine Jones looks to have filled that role in group play.

Looking forward to watching Belgium on Tuesday.
I thought the US were excellent. Nobody thought they would get out of this group. The hope was to beat Ghana, get a point against either Germany or Portugal and hope that would be enough and that's exactly what they did.
