Or better yet...why cant we just get along....

Every year it seems a GM or 6 just seem to have a bit of not gettingalongness.

Websters definition is:

Main Entry: get along
Function: intransitive verb
1 a : to proceed toward a destination : PROGRESS b : to approach an advanced stage; especially : to approach old age
2 : to meet one's needs : MANAGE <we got along on a minimum of clothing>
3 : to be or remain on congenial terms

Our definition is much the same...and our league kind of depends on the fact that there are only 32 GMs and 4 agents here who must try to overcome all obstacles in their way to becoming a champion.

Learn to communicate....Learn to discuss without becoming angry or defensive....Learn where the boundaries are when it comes to humor and what you have to say on MSN and or the message board. Some people take things more seriously than others, while some thrive on abuse. Learn where and when you can step over a line and be prepared for a little giveback or feedback if you have stepped over...

Be humble
apologize if you have to

and dont block your fellow GMs on MSN because if we find out your arse is grass....

At this time, the Blue Jackets organization wish to extend an olive branch to any team and/or agency that the organization may have offended, ignored or caused any malice towards. We feel strongly that this team has operated with class, decorum and integrity in the 3 seasons that I have been General Manager, and ensure that this will continue into the forseeable future. We always strive to have good relations with all clubs and agencies, and strive to answer all inquiries as soon as possible with all the energy that each inquiry warrants.

PS: Sometimes away on MSN really means away, so thats why we don't always answer. Also, sometimes my MSN has been buggy, so what is supposed to be away (or offline before I deleted the problematic Windows Messenger), comes across as online, and for that we apologize for the inconvenience that may or may not have caused.

The Devils will attempt to try and be nicer to our fellow Gm's. But putting me around people and asking me to be nice is like putting a recovering alchoholic behind the bar at an open bar wedding at asking him not to have a drink. The temptation can easily break my will and push me off the wagon.
