The fake twitter's big news was the flames letting the goalie coach go

Kipper has been seen in a news on finnish Yle teletext stating that he starts as a goaltending coach for Finnish U-20 National team.

Maybe Niemenen is writing the tweets?

Probably none. That would be stupid.

Much more relaxing to play another position.
This. Never got near the NHL but I did play some junior, and after you've aged and shots get by you with more regularity that you would have stopped in your sleep in younger days, a switch to a new position offers a welcome change and some freshness to the game.

byron dafoe was over at my place a while back (we were doing up some jackets for his kid's hockey team... or something like that) and we chatted a bunch about a lot of stuff. he plays in the men's league here is kelowna, but plays forward. i asked him why he doesn't put the pads back on and he said for 2 main reasons...
1 - his knees are toast
2 - he found in the past (after retiring) that a lot of guys were idiots when shooting on him. he figured he has a nothing to prove so he just plays out now.

i think my favourite part of him coming over was when i showed him the jerseys my men's team wears and he checked out of the back of my goalie jersey and said, "sweet.... you also wear 34!" to which replied with a cough/"kipper". he just looked at me and started laughing!
