Really thinking of re-hashing old memories and buying the Counter-Strike bundle. Haven't played Global Offensive, though. Really only want it to burn a few hours here and there and spark some nostalgia.

I remember in the original counterstrike there was some of the most fun custom maps in any game I've ever played. There were some where you had weird super power guns and there were giant slides that you could fly around the map on. The other ones that were awsome were rpgesque mods where powers and characters from other games (e.g. warcraft 3) were attainable by getting xp. I loved having super jump and invisibility with an auto shotgun.
Planetary annihilation is fun. Not the most in depth system but it's kind of like super mario galaxy with complete spherical coverage and interplanetary travel (and destruction which is glitchy). Worth buying if you like the total annihilation/supreme commander games. Similar but on a larger scale and more buggy.
Remember that this game is still in development. It's not done, so we're going to see stuff added and polished over time here.
FTL Advanced Edition for 4 bucks!! If you haven't bought this game yet, go go go!

I am itching to try it, but $99.99 for an earl access game is a little steep.
I just put it at the top of my wishlist hoping that I am one of the lucky 30 when team blue wins.
In all honesty you are better off waiting for the price to drop. While there are going to be incentives for early adopters, the game is going to play like garbage since the higher price indicates early alpha usually. It is why I waited on planetary annihilation.
Picked up Rogue Legacy this morning for 4 bucks, played it for a few hours, very fun game. Neat system, old school style 2d scrolling dungeon crawler with some nice twists and great replay/depth.

This sale is rather poor (which is good for me because I wasn't looking to buy much this time). Lot's of indie/early access titles being peddled as the featured games.
Brothers is a great game if you have a controller.

It's a little more complicated than that. Like Planetary Annihilation, Galactic Civ's high price tag is attributed to their kickstarter price. It cost backers $100 to get into the Gal Civ alpha so when they put the game up on Steam they had to charge that much in order to not piss off their original backers.
I mean if you read their Steam page it's tells you everything you need to know.

How long will this game be in Early Access?
“Galactic Civilizations III will be in Early Access until May 2015, according to our current schedule (which is of course subject to change). However, the existing Alpha will become Beta in late summer 2014, which will coincide with two things: the game being something approaching fun, and a price drop to the regular $49.99.”
So ya, maybe wait a couple months and pick it up at half the price it is now.

I just came across this article on PC Gamer which I thought was interesting. I've seen it brought up a few times so I figured I'd share it. Some people were asking why this team event is so one sided every day. Well apparently a bunch of people on Reddit decided to put together a schedule so that each team would be set up to win the event twice. Everything was unfolding the way they wanted it to until today, when valve added runners up prizes for second and third place.
I'm done with this sale, I've picked up all of the games I wanted to play but never got around to and more. Today was brothers-A tale of two sons, Fallout 3, and Fallout - New Vegas.
Bought Brothers, Nidhogg and The Blackwell Legacy (looks like a decent point and click adventure, and for that price why not try it?) today. This sale is killing me!
Argh, I put some cash into my steam account and now I can't use the Community Market until July 2, because I used a "new" payment method.
That's dumb, it's the same payment method I always use. Just because I choose not to save it on Steam... They should hash the payment details and store that info so it knows if I've used that payment method before.
