They'll just have him use his first name only. It will be "back to you, Garge"

Good stuff, nice to see Oake and Friedman join. Hopefully this means no room for Hrudy and Stock

Scott Oake, aside from his occasional creepiness, is also very good at his job.

Everyone should be careful what they wish for. Lord knows they could pull Al Strachan off the scrap heap.

This is not Sportsnet worthy news but Drew Remenda, who used to do colour commentary on HNIC, has been let go from the Sharks regional telecasts.

He spent the 2005-2006 season with CBC and was pretty decent, wouldn't mind him joining Sportsnet.

He's really awkward, but really the best in game interviewer. He is awkward because he puts the player outside of the cliché zone. He'll never ask the "What do you have to do to come back in this game?" kind of question. I appreciate that

Freidman seems really awkward to me too. I like him and his balanced and reasonable approach, and he seems to be a keen insider without acting pretentious like many others, but some times I find that he comes off as weird when interviewing people.

But then again, I tend to like PJ Stock and he seems almost universally disliked by people here, so maybe my taste in broadcasters is the problem.
