He's better than Galiardi...though only being better than Galiardi is nothing to toot proudly about.

Grossly overpaid, but I thought before his injury he was playing just fine. He's an acceptable third liner, at least for now.

If true, get this guy off the team immediately.

I hope he's cut and never finds NHL work again.

I take his (Jones) probable drunk ramblings with a grain of salt.

Kinda makes me wonder (not just Calgary) but league wide how many players don't like the city they play in?

I mean how many actually live there in the off season? I think the answers would probably be surprising.

Being a small town Albertan born and raised, I may enjoy playing hockey in LA or something but I doubt I would enjoy living there.

Maybe he would prefer Glenns Falls?

Wideman isn't anchoring anything anymore. He was bumped down to the 2nd PP unit. Russell and Giordano will most likely be on the 1st PP unit.

The Flames shouldn't buy him out, but if they can move him in a trade then do it.

Maybe if Jones were demoted to Alaska where he belongs he would appreciate Calgary a bit more.

If O'Brien is that bad of a influence why not sent him to the Aces? If he is okay with not showing up let him do it in Alaska. Should have to earn the $2,000,000 one way or another.

I don't even think he is as good as Galiardi. At least he loves this team and city, Douchbag Jones, not so much.

You can't send a one way contract to ECHL. Only two way

You guys are taking the word of a he said/she said situation, most likely repeated out of context, and most likely with a loss of translation......purple, monkey, dishwasher....and using it to base your favor with the individual.

Find the facts out straight from the mouth before burying the guy with a bad reputation.

Although I absolutely agree with your post...good luck on the bolded part.

Back on topic - regardless of whether the he said/she said situation is true, I think Jones is a waste of a roster spot. He'll likely never break 35 points in his career again and he's one of the first guys I'd like to see gone. I just fail to see the value he brings to this team and quite frankly never saw it in the first place. Grossly overpaid.

Second hand words can be misinterpreted or taken out of context. I'd rather hear from Jones himself before casting judgement.

Burke told me last night that they are not using a compliance buyout.

He was a really cool guy to talk to. Even remembered my son's name.

Had a great time.
