Klose scored 3 or 4 against the Saudis in Japan. Can't remember any other recent ones off the top of my head.

Well, if Portugal play like this again then he'll likely be getting plenty of rest before next season.

This looks like a team that squeaked by Sweden in the playoffs.

Portugal finished second behind Russia in their group. Ronaldo makes them overhyped IMO.

Unsung player of the match has to be Jerome Boateng. He rose to the occasion and took Ronaldo out of the match

That is true, he pushed Ronaldo into more traffic in the middle.

Helps too that Nani was useless.

Portugal looking at another suspension. That's Raul Meireles with the fingers.

A red card will be a single game suspension, regardless.

There is an artical already saying that although only a single game is required usually if you are sent off for violent conduct, as in this case, they go to 2 or even 3 game suspensions.

I thought it was for unsportsmanlike conduct. Could be either way I guess.

Did I imply that 2 vs. 4 should be a close game? Whoops.

No. Mostly a bunch of decent players with one superstar who tries to carry them afar. Also, see Sweden & Wales. With populations of 10 million it's quite impressive imo.

How is that a foul? He stood his ground and the goalie ran into him.

Helluva start from the Nigerians. Love the jerseys also.

Love the lime green. Meanwhile Iran looks like something you'd wear playing racquetball.

Very entertaining 0-0 half. Nigeria looks as if they will get it done on sheer athleticism.
