The Mavs pushed the Spurs the hardest, which is a testament to Rick Carlisle being a great coach. Spurs from Game 7 of the Mavs series won all but 2 games by 15 points or more. Amazingly dominant run.

That Commissioner is one weird looking dude. It was funny when he said the Heat can "hang their heads high tonight".

Everything about the NBA playoffs is ####tier than the NHL playoffs. Especially the trophy presentation.

I find Pop and Parker very unlikable.
Plus the BS that will come from haters and the media (ie Team Flop) will be awful.

Haters?
The Heat bring this on themselves. They want the spotlight, but that means it is on in good times AND bad.
And when teams in the World Cup of soccer are referring to the NBA as the epitome of flopping, the three posters boys for it have to look in the mirror.

I really dislike that the NBA gives the trophy to the owner first. I think the NFL does it too. I know these guys pay the bills but the players win it.

The Spurs are everything Miami isn't, which is mostly built from the bottom up, and their free agency signings are unsexy. Patty Mills made less than Greg Oden. Boris Diaw was fat and unwanted. Danny Green cut several times. They draft and develop guys. Every team should try and emulate what they do and not what Miami does. What San Antonio does might get them to two decades of championship contention. Just incredible.

Not sure there is a bigger flopper in the league than Mano and his buddy Parker.
Yes some of the criticism of the Heat is warranted but LeBron was the best player in the series for either team and people will still try to use this as a reason to crap on him. The heat just played in their 4th straight finals and yet people will try to spin it as not impressive because they came through the East.
Plus the narrative bout the Spurs will be so over the top that it will be tough to listen to.

Not sure they get a sniff of a title if they don't tank and have Robinson sit out, smart move but not exactly the most honorable thing to do and tough to emulate.
I can't see many teams having a ton of success emulating the Spurs as there aren't many teams that have close to the smarts they do and not a ton of Tim Duncans out there to build around for 20 years.

Here's a question. Why sit not only your best player (LeBron), but arguably the best player in the world for the last 6 minutes of an elimination playoff game?
Isn't that equivalent to the New York Rangers sitting Henrik Lundqvist because they were losing late in game 3?

It would be the equivalent of sitting Lundqvist in a 7-0 game 5 in which he had made 50+ stops in the previous 4 while your offense scored 1 goal in each game.
At some point you give the guy a rest after carrying your team on his back for 4 years.

LeBron will leave if Riley doesn't show him a real plan. Clippers would be the most likely destination if Balmer becomes owner ASAP, he'll take the luxury tax hit to have a superteam.

It was more like San Antonio Spurs vs Lebron James. The rest of the team did not show up so when Lebron stopped scoring the whole team just falters. Ray Allen and Battier showed their age. Chris Bosh was too chicken to drive to the basket earlier and would rather shoot the ball from the outside. Dwayne Wade was brutal. But give all the credits to the Spurs. They proven that there is no "I" on the team...that if they stick together, they will win. Tony Parker was pointless in the first half and they were still ahead. Defensively they were great especially Kwahi Leonard guarding Lebron all game. Well deserving MVP for him. None of the Heat players guarding Duncan were no match with him. Spurs bench was pretty good too with Splitter, Mills, Green. Well deserving win for the Spurs. I guess it is time to break the big 3.

Wow 5 championships over 15 years and at intervals like 3 years, 8 years, 10 years and 17 into his career with the same team. Tim Duncan has had a brilliant career.

LBJ will never be MJ's equal for he had lost in 3 finals already. And this is the end of this Heat team. Wade is a mid level exception player on any other team and CB3 is perhaps a $10M player. If they would accept terms like that, maybe Miami can rebuild with them. But if not, it's the end of the party lifestyle for the last four years.

This just sums up how absurd it is to ever bring anyone into the Jordan conversation

It's absurd if you totally ignore supporting cast.
