Have to say the Australians are the sharpest looking team so far. No goofy haircuts and a dapper kit. Someone in charge runs a tight ship.

Long ways off yet. Just nice to see a team that doesn't look ridiculous.

And have four players on two goals.

Just don't include the Toronto police in there.

Been an absolutely fantastic tournament so far. Hoping that England does a Dutch job on Italy tomorrow.

"If you see how he prepared us, and how he predicted the game would go, and you see how it went -- unbelievable."

Van Gaal, in turn, highlighted his forwards' performances.

"With strikers like Van Persie, Robben and Sneijder behind them, things like this can happen," the coach said.

			Yahooo Oranje!
PVRd the game and just had a chance to watch it. The VP goal was amazing. Nice little redemption from 2010... All the talk about the weak Dutch defense still remains to be seen I guess but sure looked efficient today.

If you're a new soccer viewer, and appreciate how Canadians approach hockey (duh who doesn't, we're the best), you'll most relate to the English in this World Cup.

They despise diving, the flamboyant exaggeration of most of the nations out there (Scots, Welsh, Irish, not withstanding) & like Canada in SLC '02, are on a dry streak dating back to 1966.

 Hard nosed, gritty football.

And to further the contrast between how it should & should not be played, the English play the Italians tomorrow @ 4pm MST.

I think that was the story of Ramos's day. Couldn't get near anyone.
Is he really slow or is Robben really fast?
