The Rangers won by only one goal but the pattern continued as the Kings only scored one goal. In 2012, the Kings lost game four to the Devils 3-1. The Devils won game five 2-1 in regulation time.

Last game right here ladies and gentlemen. LA will be fired up as they absolutely don't want to go across the continent again and let the Rangers back in this. I'll give them a pass last game, as they were ok, but they were going back to California one way or the other.
Now they play for keeps and win it in their own barn. Go Kings!

The reason for game five being on a Friday and not Saturday was that the CBC requested it to be scheduled that way due to the World Cup.

Is it petty of me, that I hate Darryl Sutter? I hate that he is having success, I hate that now he is considered a genius? I thought he backed into that 2004 run and flailed like a turtle on his back for years trying to keep this organization competitive. Why don't I think he is a great coach you ask? I keep thinking back to that game 7 against Anaheim in 2007- I think? That was the worst performance I have ever seen by any team, in any sport, in an elimination game.

I don't think it's petty. He gets to go coach a great team after he destroyed ours. It annoys the hell out of me.
Maybe I'm just petty too.

Got that part - I just mean Sutter the coach inherited a great team. Sutter the GM ruined the Flames.
