Wha????? Another poor call. The Dutch have been on the short end of almost every single call in the half and yet it is 1-1.

Fair enough. I don't like that rule (speaking as a defender). There is a difference between trying to play the ball and simply missing, and trying to foul the attacker. But I concede =)

RVP probably spent 100 calories sprinting to his team-mates on the sidelines. Save your energy bro.

What a goal! van Persie has so much talent - shame he's a traitorous c***.

Yeah, saw the penalty call and Costa just slipped. There was no contact. Terrible call and Spain get a free goal.

Who is this guy? These two teams will not settle for a draw.

Don't care about the celebration. My issue is with a player that while under contract to Arsenal forced them to sell him to a rival club, and only that specific club. If he wanted to leave that's one thing - but with United knowing we had no choice his value on the transfer was way less than he was worth.

He was halfway down before the trailing leg was anywhere near him.

I believe in the Jays.

Spain are a way more enjoyable team to watch when they are playing a real striker. With Costa they are actually looking to penetrate and get in behind the defence. I don't understand the boring complaints in this one, it's been a very good game with multiple chances for both sides.

I just watched it again and de Vrij actually has the trailing leg tucked in and sticks it out as he goes by. Even Costa buys it, that's a really stupid play.

But if he plants cleanly he's probably first to that ball.

seeing that PK replay again, it's not so bad a call like I thought it was initially.

Okay, I see it now, he landed on the sliding ankle and his foot was taken out but I dont call that a penalty, he stepped on the defender while he was already on his way down, thats not being 'taken out.' But there was contact.
