Sorry for the extraneous posts but let me try again.
Best Buy has NHL Ultimate Edition for $70, same price as the generic version. Looks like it should be $80 (via EB games). You'll actually get it for less than $50 if you find two other pre-orders. Or just order 3 of them and physically return the other two when they arrive.

seriously? even just looking at the youtube embed before playing (the screen cap at start) I can tell that the video is not on the PS4
It's either the xbox one or xbox 360 - The control help part has RT and LT .. even nice enough to make the image of the xbox controller RT and LT (not R2 and L2)

Well the article says (in the first line) he was playing it on PS4, so I don't know what to tell you? Maybe try to have more attitude in your post next time and you might be right?

the video looked ok, nothing earth shatteringly different. Perhaps we are a bit spoiled after getting the skillstick a year or 2 after the 360/ps3 versions came out.
it was difficult to see if there was any real AI improvements given that there were multiple human players playing.
Mcdonough fighting gaborik, really?

Yeah, the video is definitely from an xbox, and I'm going to assume an Xbox One.
The skating, fighting and shooting all looked the same as NHL 14. Miniscule looking updates to the atmosphere and some new puck 'physics' and some heightened collision markers.
Clip isn't long enough to make concrete judgements, but the game looks remarkably similar to last years game.

I'd say based off that, those hoping for a gameplay overhaul won't be getting it. I was happy with 14, so I'm excited for this.
I don't understand how the guy in the article Jobo posted can like that new camera angle though. Perhaps I'm overly sensitive, but I get annoyed when I can't see all the players. Skating down a wing without an idea of where anybody is to pass to drives me nuts. Thankfully a basic change.

I noticed that too.
WHen the opposition winger was gaining the zone, he was half hidden by the scoreboard overlay. I do not like that. I like having a good vantage point to pick my angles and get the timing right, especially considering how unforgiving the skating can be.
It's probably better for forwards though, they get a larger view of the offensive zone.

The Xbox 360/PS3 versions are basically going to be NHL 14 with Doc doing the commentary. The older consoles aren't going to get many of the new features. I think all they get is new commentary and the new collision physics.

Ya if the past is any indication, NHL 15 on PS3 and 360 is basically going to be like getting a fairly large tuner update. Might be decent if you skipped 14 though.

Yep, that's exactly what they're doing. They changed literally nothing for NHL 15.

I would say it certainly looks more crisp, but not a huge overhaul at all. I would assume there's probably a lot more animations and details possible on next gen that you wouldn't pick up on at first glance but with more time spent playing.
Too bad there's no 2K hockey anymore. They brought some real competition to hockey gaming for a few years, and if nothing else, something a little different to the table. With one game the formula is bound to get stale. I'm just surprised the difference from one generation to next isn't more pronounced.

I don't think I've ever gotten so angry that I PM'd someone telling them to go eff themselves. Sad sad sad.

I don't know how you could possibly know that without playing the game, let alone getting that from a video of an early build.
What exactly are you expecting if you mind me asking?
