Spezza claims he's tired of being blamed for losses. Well, don't be a good player then.
What a whiner. Do not want. Go play in Phoenix and fade into obscurity if that's what you want.

I could see the Preds all over this. They desperately need offensive talent.
Anaheim will be getting someone this summer be it Kesler, Spezza, or Joe so he might go there
Arizona makes sense as well

Which teams could afford to not only give up assets and afford to pay him as well, I would think there is a very small group of teams that could do that?

To be fair, I do think Sens fans treat him like crap.

Didn't the Ducks trade Bobby Ryan because of cap reasons? can they afford Spezza? I guess with the cap going up that helps.

If Koivu calls it quits or moves on that clears up a roster spot and 2.5 mill, also Selanne is more than likely done at this point. So that is 4.5 total towards Spezza's 7 million. With the cap going up that would make enough room for him.
Cogliano, Bonino and Fistric are all going to see a slight pay raise, but total probably around 2 mill or so. Perreault and Silfverberg are both RFA's though. I also imagine that at least one of their young roster players would be heading back to Ottawa as well and getting replaced by a younger ELC type guy.

I think the Ducks traded Bobby Ryan because they are cheap.
I can see Bryan asking Bob...so can I get the stuff back that I gave you for Bobby in exchange for Spezza?
Bob....Nope

Yep, that should slot us somewhere around the 10th best centre group in the West.

I think St.Louis makes most sense. Anaheim also does and likely has more motivation to make that move.

Selanne retired. He is working for Finnish TV now. He is off the books for sure.

They already paid way too much for Miller, and that didn't work out too well. I don't think St. Louis wants to pay more assets for someone that might not even work out either.

I could see something between SJ and OTT with Thornton and Spezza being the center pieces.

I would bet the Islanders are on the list too, but if not, I could see them being interest. Florida is another team that seems to want players that can play now.

There are six other Canadian teams, I know you just forgot about The Jets since everyone has already.

I would have assumed they didn't include the Oilers because they aren't actually an NHL team.

If he wanted to maximize his "no trade" list, he wouldn't bother putting Montreal or Toronto on it because you know Murray would never consider trading him to either of those teams.
