Something tells me Draisatl is lacking that ingredient that makes Getzlaff so competitive at the NHL level.
His coach was talking about the quality of the player, not comparing style of play. Before the draft he thought Getzlaff should have been a top 5 pick.

No need to get worked up. Style of play only describes how a player plays. It's never going to be a 100% comparison. How many times have we heard a player plays like Milan Lucic? Doesn't mean the player can score, go through defenders, and fight like Lucic.

Draisatl's puck protection and playmaking skills have been compared to Getzlaff's.

He's also been compared to Kopitar and Henryk Sedin

I just see a Kopitar-like player in Draisaitl. Draisaitl will be the best player in a different country on the east side of the world, has soft hands, and has great size.

I am talking about comparable measures. I see Draisaitl projected to be more like Kopitar than Getzlaf or Henrik.

Who's worked up? I was pointing out that his coach said he was one of the top two players he's coached. He also afterwards added in Josh Morrissey his uber talented defenceman as well. If someone wants to compare Draisaitl as a type of player to Getzlaff, that's a different discussion.

I'd probably do a final poll on what center we all think the Flames will be picking a couple of days before draft day. I see fans for all of the top 3 centers.

Kopitar could be the best forward in the game today.
That's one of the reasons why I like Burke - David Steckel comparisons instead.
