I'd bench him for that comment if I were Vigneault.

Hell, he may actually be the most complete Center in the league. If not, then it's 1A/1B with Toews. I actually think he's better than Toews offensively and at least as good defensively, maybe better. I honestly think if you put Kopitar in a system with a coach who doesn't give a flying F about defence, he would regularly put up 100 pt seasons and still be a Selke candidate every year.

The east in general is pathetic. These are the eastern champions? Dang. We're playing in a whole other league over here, obviously.
Realistically, 4-5 different western teams would've rolled over the Rangers.

With the way the kings are playing, Do you think the kings will pity the rangers and let them take game 4 and than win it in game 5 for the home town fans or just finish it without hestitation.

Finish it without hesitation. Every single time. Don't let the others have false hope, it could lead to an upset. Kings just upset SJ after being down 3-0, and two of their players did it in 2010. They know full well that you take advantage of the opportunity when you have it.

I wonder if Clifford sits next game and the Kings go with seven D.
So excited for the win.

Maybe if they take the unprecedented move of firing the coach when they are up 3-0 in the finals.

Whoever said the Eastern Final between the Rangers and Habs was just an "audition for an ass kicking" was absolutely right.

Yep, but the Kings had a 3-0 lead on the Devils in 2012 and the Devils made a series of it as the Kings won the cup in game 6.

It is bizarre how all these repeat patterns are happening in this year's playoffs. The Bhawks-Blues series ended in 6 games just like it did last year with similar scores and the same games going into OT. The Habs-Bolts have a reverse sweep from 10 years ago. Kings-Bhawks play in round 3 again just like last year and the series ends in OT. Now the Kings have a 3-0 series lead in the cup final, just like they did in 2012 by winning the first 2 games in OT and winning the third game with a SHUTOUT. Kings won 4-0 in game 3 over the Devils in 2012. My guess for game 4, Rangers win 4-2 because the Kings lost by 2 goals against the Devils.

kopitar is the most underrated player in the NHL. If he was canadian, or heck any other nationality other than slovenian he'd probably get a lot more press. He's such a complete player.

For lulz, follow MudCrutch on Twitter. He was getting all pissy last night because people were praising how great Quick is. It was a lot of fun watching the spreadsheet king completely gloss over the fact that Quick has held the Rangers off the scoresheet for nearly 120 minutes straight now, and instead giving the entire credit to LA's offence.

Funny, didn't realise that forcing 3 periods of OT at the Staples Centre and holding a 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2 lead in game 2 were tantamount to an ass kicking. The Rangers, whilst probably outclassed, have also been very unlucky. I just hope they can win tomorrow to make things slightly interesting.

i am so happy the rangers are getting whooped here in the final. Was very glad they made it to the final, st. loius, his mom, made for a great rallying point for a pretty amazing fun for the team.
However, they shouldn't have won the cup in 2004 (game 6 mis-call) so happy that this round sutter takes the cup.
I also dont know why but i dislike brad richards. I thought he was largely overrated, had a great half season as a star before his concussion, and has more or less sucked since then. dude was a healthy scratch for the struggling rangers last season, says it all.
i get rather pleased when these guys who sign massive/ridiculous contracts realize teams would rather buy out the contract than to keepth them on their roster. Pretty nice kick in the teeth (albeit great for the bank accont).

That was me.
It seemed obvious, I watched the Habs/Rags series and the Hawks/Kings series and there was absolutely no comparison, the Hawks/Kings series was basically the Stanley Cup Final and one of the Habs/Rags were just there to make up the numbers and play out the schedule.
And Kopitar should certainly get the Conn Smythe.
All of the commentators fellating Ryan Kesler during the Canuck's runs for being a solid 2-way centre and scoring in the playoffs should watch Kopitar right now, he is the real thing.
