Hahahaha, I hate that jersey too. Hockey players are superstitious Brian, get over it.

Unless those nun habits have a number over 35... can't have that now can we.

I really don't get his issue with numbers over 35. One second he is bashing people for 3rd Jersey superstitions and the next he's all aboard the under 35 train.. Both are equally stupid to get behind IMO.

Count my vote as loving the move to all low numbers.

This story really made me chuckle. He basically said he called the builder to complain that his truck won't fit in the garage, who then responded "It's not my problem". Burke told him "It will be your problem if I beat the crap out of you."

Is that really the story? It makes Burke sound like a raging d-bag.

Burke lives in Bridgeland. It's not a very 'big garages' kinda neighbourhood.

Fair enough. But that's a poor excuse for threatening someone because you were too stupid to size your garage for your vehicle.

Oh I'm not saying it's an excuse at all. At the very least he probably should have measured his vehicle first and realized that the lots in Bridgeland aren't exactly enormous

I can't confirm the validity of the story, but that was how it was told. Though it was told in a very light-hearted manner. Made me laugh.

Not sure what world you're in. The new arena just add water world maybe.
I think what he was referring to, was the fact that King has been stating that they would be ready to announce arena plans 'soon', for for the past 5 years at least

Seems a little hypocritical given his hatred of high numbers.

- Called Monahan "the exception" for young players. Just like teenagers go through high school and university before landing a good job, hockey players need that time to develop in the minors.

...
Using Monahan who had just been drafted is not a fair comparison...

Although small / tiny these comments from Burke et al seem to be directed as if Johnny is a 17 yr old being drafted June 2014 & not a young man who already was drafted in 2011 & been playing against older bigger players for a few years, and arguable the best player for team USA (with an undermanned roster in terms of their top talent).
Of course i understand NCAA & the worlds are not at same level of competition and less games.

Johnny is not going to get that much bigger other than what the Flames training program has him do.

And I could be proven wrong, but I believe the NHL is the league where he will develop. Let's be honest - the team the Flames has iced has not been very competitive for several years & there are not many on the current roster that have close to JG's skill. just my 2 cents

PLEASE ask if there are any plans to retire our ugly Edge jersey's and move to full time home/away retros? You can clean it up a bit if you need to
