So apparently this is a thing in the States and has hit Toronto, Vancouver and now Calgary. I wonder how much cash can be found.

Pretty cool and sounds fun, though I think it's a lousy way to 'pay it forward'. The people who could really use the cash won't be able to participate.

I also wonder about fights/bad behavior. But we'll see soon enough.

I'd call it a social experiment more than I'd call it a force for good. All that said, I'll be adding it to my twitter feed.

I think its the people giving away the money who are paying it forward. At least that's how I interpreted it.

They could, and I'm sure some of them do. But I don't think that's the point. I think the mystery guy is just brightening people's day (which isn't a bad thing) but not exactly paying it forward as advertised.
